Chapter 9

Cassy's Pov

After leaving the room I go to Hope's room. "Little one, may I come in?" I knock on her door. "Yeah auntie come in." I hear her and walk inside.

"I went a little to far didn't it? I'm sorry for bringing up your mother, it's just that Kol told me a lot about her and when me and your father were fighting I just blurted it all out." I say sitting next to her.

"It's okay auntie, you were just trying to convince dad to let me stay here." she smiled. "That will be a bit hard won't it?" we both laugh.

"Look if you want to stay here I will do everything in my power to make it happen, all your life was a war zone because of your fathers enemies but now that I am here I won't let that happen. I am going to let you live your life and make sure you don't have to fight anymore battles that aren't yours, okay?" I say and she hugs me. "Thank you aunt Cass, I love you." she smiled.

"I love you too little one. Now I will be downstairs trying to figure out how to convince Nik to let you stay here." I kiss her forehead and leave her room.

"I will NOT LET HER STAY HERE! And that's final. "I heard Nik yell. "And may I ask WHY?" I say crossing my arms in front of him.

"Because she needs her father beside her, and if she stays here I cannot protect her." he said. "And I'm telling you that I AM HERE! I can protect her, Kol can, Finn can, Freya CAN. So I really don't see a problem on why she shouldn't stay here." I yell back.

"I don't trust you." he pointed at me. "Hah like that isn't a surprise. But you trust Freya and Kol maybe not Finn but she has enough strength to be safe here.So PLEASE I beg of you to drop this stubbornness and let her stay HERE!" I say.

"....FINE, but if she gets in ANY sort of trouble I will blame YOU!" he said storming out. I sigh sitting down. "Does this family ever stay without fighting or argues?" I put my hands on my face.

"Don't worry sister, everything will be alright." said Kol and I nod smiling. "I'm going out for a bit, don't wait for me!" I say getting up and leaving the mansion.

I get in my car and drive to the Salvatore home.

Stefan's Pov
*knocking on the door*

"I'll get it." I say and open the door to see Cassy.
"Cassy what a suprise to see you here." I smile. "Well I had a huge argument with my twin brother so I came here to stay with you so I can clear my mind. I hope I don't bother you?" she asks.

"Not at all, please come in." I smile and she comes in. "Great, Klaus 2.0 is here." smiled Damon. "It's so not a pleasure to see you as well Damon." she smiled sarcastically. He rolls his eyes.

"And to clarify I didn't come here for you, I came to see Stefan." she says. "Yeah, don't all Mikaelsons love Stefan." he said. "Maybe it's because he's less annoying and a dickhead unlike you." she says and I laughed.

"Did I say that I liked you, I meant the opposite." he said. "I have to say the same about you." she smiles. "Alright I'm out, I won't stay her to stand another annoying Mikaelson." he said leaving the house.

"I'm glad I made him leave." she says and I chuckle. "Points for you cause no one can achieve to annoy Damon to that point. Drink?" I ask. "Bourbon??" she says and I show her the bourbon table. "Then sure." she smiles and I pour two glasses.

"So what was the argument about between you and Klaus?" I ask passing her the bourbon. "Well my niece, Nik's daughter is trying to find a school at New Orleans but there isn't any so I suggested that she goes here at Mystic Falls high school, but Nik doesn't want her to stay here since he is going back to New Orleans and that he cannot protect her whilst he is there. So we just argued on her staying or not but in the end I finally got to convince him." she smiled. "Does Klaus hate you?" I ask her.

"Yes, so does Elijah and Rebekah, but Kol, Finn and Freya don't. They are the siblings that love me." she chuckles. "Hmm, I understand. Do you mind the fact that they hate you?" I asked her.

"No, I don't. Even though I have been daggered for years now, I have to say I hate them too." she shrugged. I smile. "Then they are idiots." she laughs. "Like they don't know that." she says.

"Thank you Stefan, even at the worst times you make me laugh. Your a good friend." she says. "I'm glad I helped with it." I chuckle.

"Well I must get home, or Kol will compell strangers to look for me." she laughs. "Alright, will talk again sometime." I say and walk her to the door. She turns to me. "Goodbye Stefan and thanks for the bourbon." she smiled.

"Your welcome, I will be expecting you again." I kissed her knuckles. "Bye." she chuckles and left.
"Bye." I smile against the door.
