Chapter 23

Cassy's Pov

As I drove I get a phone call. "Did you bite Caroline?" asked Stefan. "Yea." I shrugged. "Why?" he said and I huff. "Because she was being annoying and she tried to vervain me." I say and he sighed.

"Why do you care, she literally tried to come between us." I say in disbelief. "Us? Cassy there's no us. We kissed like one time and now we have this big relationship that you care so much about. She's my friend, so turn around." he said.

"Sorry but hell no, have fun watching her die." I smile and hung up.

Klaus's Pov

"What?" I say as Stefan calls me. "Cassy bit Caroline." he said in a panic tone. "Okay... and?" I say unbothered. "And?? Do something, can you save her?" he said and I shook my head.

"I can't sorry, only her blood can since she's the one that bit her and even if I could I wouldn't. Caroline doesn't deserve to be saved since she's the reason my sister got hurt. Goodbye Stefan, I hope I get an invitation to the funeral." I smiled and hung up.

As I sat my phone down Cassy walks in. "I heard you bit Caroline." I say and she sighs. "I did, and it felt good." she said happily. "Stefan called me, he said that I have to save her but I refused." I said and she smiled.

"He literally said there's no us." she said and I frowned. "He said we just kissed once but there's was nothing special about it, and that blondie is her friend so I should turn around and save her ass but I just said no and have fun watching her die." she said and I smiled proudly.

"So anything new about the nightmares?" she asked and I shake my head. "Nothing. Freya always gets weak everytime she can try guessing who the body is, like it's draining her power." I say and she looks concerned.

"Is she okay?" she asks and I nod. "She's better, we don't know what to do." I sigh. "Can Hope do it?" she says. "I don't want to get her involved in this." I say. "But it's her nightmares what if she can figure something by concentrating?" she says and I sigh rubbing my eyes.

"Okay fine, but if something happens we're putting it into an end." I say and she nods.

"I'll go pick up Hope from school." she said and walks out.

Cassy's Pov
"
Hey what's with the early pick up? Not that I'm complaining."she smiled. "We have a problem at home and we need your magic since aunt Freya can't handle it cause she isn't strong enough." I say.

"What problem?"

"Your nightmares, we are trying to find who the dead body is." I say and she sighs. "I've been thinking it too, it eats me inside and the thought of who it is." she says and I hold her hand.

"Don't worry, when we find out the identity we will protect whoever it is." I say and she smiled nodding.

After the drive we arrive home to see all gathered in the living room. "Okay Hope go in the circle and concentrate on the spell." I say and she goes in. She starts chanting.

Hope's Pov

I wake up inside our house but everyone is gone. I get up and start looking around, I see dad facing the wall. "Dad..." I walk up to him and turn him around and I see his eyes blankly white and he had no emotion.

"Dad... can you hear me." I wave my hand to his face but nothing. I walk away from him and look further more. Then I found aunt Bekah looking at a picture and wearing all black.

I look at the picture and it was a painting of aunt Cassy. Aunt Bekah turns around and she was crying. I looked worried then she spoke. "I miss you Cassy." she cried. And before I could talk to her she vamp speed away.

Then I see uncle Elijah and uncle Kol sitting on the porch. "Glad we killed him." sighed uncle Kol. "He deserved it, he took our most precious thing." said uncle Elijah. Who where they talking about, what precious thing?

I find aunt Freya in aunt Cassy's room crying. "It's been months but I still miss you." she cried. Then she blasted things around her in frustration. She screamed and cried.

I ran outside and saw the body on the ground. It's face didn't show, I walked closer to see who was it. I turned the body and I gasped.

I gasp flickering my eyes open and everyone kneels next to me. "Hope are you okay?" asked Dad. "Little one, what did you see?" aunt Cass said and I jumped in her arms hugging her tight.

"It was... nothing. I just saw the same thing but couldn't figure the body's identity." I say catching my breath. "But I saw dad, aunt Bexs and Freya also uncle Kol and Elijah."

"Wasn't I there?" aunt Cass asked.

"No, but uncle Kol and Elijah were saying how they killed someone who deserved it for taking their precious thing." I say and they frowned.

"Do you have any precious thing?" said aunt Bexs. "Nope!" shrugged Kol. "I don't think so." said Elijah. "Okay little one you need some rest, up to your room." said aunt Cass. "Can I sleep at your room?" I ask and she frowned but nodded smiling.

"Of course sweetie." she kissed my head and I went upstairs.

Cassy's Pov

"Are any of you confused by all of this?" I asked and they nodded. "What else do you think she saw?" asked Nik. "The identity of the body!" I say and they stare.

"Why wouldn't she tell us?" asked Elijah. "I don't know, but whoever she saw it scared her a lot."
