'I love you'

Max's POV:

You know finding out that Em actually had a crush on someone hurt, even more so because it was one of my best friends. Then there's the other guy that she says she thinks she might like... Well my chances of having her are pretty much gone. I mean, she likes Jay and Jay likes her so as soon as they find out- theyre going to be straight together. Maybe not actually... Last time he admitted to liking her, she ran off? Basically it really doesn't matter how I feel because she definitely doesn't feel the same back. Plus, she thinks that I like somebody else... Won't affect her anyway though.

That night, after she left with Jay to put the twins to bed the boys' all turned to me and their faces dropped.

"Max? What's wrong? You were happy just a minute ago?" Tom asked.

"What?" I asked. I didn't really catch what he said.

"He said, what's a matter? You were fine before" Seev said.

"Oh, er.. It's nothing. Just thinking some things over."

"Thinking about... Em?" Nath said.

"Ye- wait, how do you know?"

"It's kinda obvious Max" Tom said.

"What's obvious?" Seev said, at least some one is as confused as me.

"Seriously? Are you two blind? It's obvious that Max here has a crush on our Em" Tom said

"I do not!" I protested. Siva gasped then pointed at me

"It's so obvious now! You so do!"

"I do not! Besides jay likes her back and she said there could be some other guy that she has feelings for but she wouldn't tell me."

"Ohh.." They all said.

"I'm going to bed" they all said one by one.

"Okay, I'll stayin here for a bit. I'm going to find out who this other guy is"

"Okay, good luck man. And I promise not to tell her about your feelings"

"Your a good boy" I said grabbing his ear. He did the same and then we did that sound like 'yahyahyah' then he left. I flopped into the bed and let out a sigh.

"Everything okay Max?" Emily said coming back into the room. I sat up and patted my lap.

"Yes, just thinking" I said as se sat in my lap and we hugged like we were doing before.

"About what?" She closed her eyes.

"A girl" I said.

"Ooo.. Maxy has crush" she said turning round to straddle me. But not in a sexual way, just to look at me. "Who is she?"

"I'm not telling you her name but I will tell you that she is the most perfect girl in the world"

"She sounds... Perfect" em chuckled leaning in to hug me.

"She is" I sighed. "You tired?"

"Yes" she yawned. I layed us down so we were facing eachother. She was snuggled into my chest and I had my arms wrapped protectively around her. 'This is how it should be' I thought.

"I'm going to bed then" I said after about 5 munutes of silence. I started to get up to tuck her in and leave.

"No max, please stay. She whispered pulling me back down.

"Okay then" I said. I took my jeans of and climbed in user the covers. Obviously I wasn't going to try anything.

"Max?" She whispered.

"Hmm?"

"I love you"

"I love you too" then she fell asleep. I couldn't sleep straight away because those three words that she had just said. They meant so much to me but in a different way than it should have.
