Chapter 6: Side Story Part 1

JOE'S POINT OF VIEW
As Joe exited the shower, he felt too exhausted to go to the shop and open for the day. He slumped down in his couch and drifted off to sleep only to be interrupted by the sound of the door bell. His body telling him otherwise, Joe got up with a huff and looked through the eye hole and saw a hooded teenager hiding his face.
Joe opened the door confused and saw Reki sanding there with red puffed eyes looking down. Before Joe could even ask what he wanted, Reki asked, "C-Could I maybe stay here for a few days? Home is kinda chaotic nowadays.". His voice sounded shaky and he forced a grin on his face looking up at Joe. "That's obviously a lie. Probably has to do something with Langa", Joe thought to himself chuckling at the thought of interfering with their quarreling. And he was already having problems with his own quarreling, so he tried to refuse. But, Reki already knew what his answer was going to be, so he interrupted sounding more desperate, "P-Please? I promise to do whatever you want."
Joe sighed and scratched the back of his head and replied, "Fine... But you gotta tell me what happened first.". Reki realized that Joe knew he was lying and silently nodded biting back his tears. Joe stepped to the side to let him step through and Reki let out sigh of relief. Joe however, let out a sigh of frustration. "When did I become everyone's parent?", he thought to himself.
