REKI'S POINT OF VIEW
There was a distant call in the back ground calling Reki's name. "Reki wait!", Langa huffed now getting closer to Reki. "No! Leave me alone!", yelled Reki. He was battling to keep air into his lungs and to keep the tears from falling down.
The two boys raced down towards the front of the building out of breath and bumping into anyone and everyone in their way. "R-Reki please! I need to talk to you!", hollered Langa.  In that moment Reki thought to himself, "Well I don't want to talk to you. Not now not ever.". But alas Reki's wish could not be granted as he skids to a stop. "Shit. Dead end.", he muttered to himself not turning around even knowing that his chaser is just around the corner.
"Finally... caught... up to.... you", Langa huffed too out of breath to complete his sentence. But Reki kept his back turned to afraid that he might cry again at the sight of his ex-bestfriend.
Langa frowned when he realized that Reki wasn't going to turn around to look at him and stomped over there instead. "Reki please can you look at me? Just for a second?", pleaded Langa. But Reki didn't and tears were already burning the brim of his eyes. Instead, he replied with a trembling voice,"Y-You lied t-to me". His tone was an empty anger waiting to be replaced with joy, but Reki feared that he would be waiting forever for that replacement. For Langa was everything to Reki.
Langa grabs Reki's wrist and swings him around pinning against the wall. Langa starred the red-haired boy down in irritation that suddenly cooled with the sight of Reki looking down, crying. "R-Reki-", Langa started. "Leave me alone", Reki demanded more angry than sad now. "You promised me. You said that you would decline the race! And you lied to-"."That's not what you're really sad about!", interrupted Langa. "You and I both know I'm not the one who you're truly mad at."Reki looked up at Langa's scrunched up face and into his blue eyes. He then realized that Langa was right. "I'm not actually mad at Langa. I just needed someone to blame for my sorrow.", Reki realized
Langa sighed and let go of Reki's wrist that now had a red mark from the strength Langa used. "Now tell me what you're actually upset about.", Langa demanded. But it was no use. Reki didn't even know himself why he was so angry. All he wanted was to be at the same level as everyone else. He wanted to be apart of the group that Joe, Cherry, Miya, and Langa was apart of. Then it came to him. It was if he was- "jealous", he finished out loud. Langa flinched at the answer confused. "Jealous? Of what?", Langa asked. "U-Uh um...", Reki stuttered. Langa laughed at the reply, no longer angry at the small boy. Reki turned red with embarrassment as Langa continued to laugh at the thought of Reki being "jealous". "I-it's not funny!", snapped Reki. "Oh, sorry I don't mean to be rude, but what's there to be Jealous of? I wouldn't even be here without you!", Langa replied. Reki turned an even brighter shade of red at the comment. "Reki. You are the greatest friend that I have ever had. I wouldn't want to be with anyone else but you.". Reki had to look away as he was too embarrassed to look at the complimenter in the eyes. Langa laughed again at the action and felt an unfamiliar thump in his chest. And without even thinking about it, he grabbed Reki's chin and forced him to look into Langa's eyes. Reki was shocked but even more shocked when Langa pushed his lips against Reki's. "W-What-", Reki stuttered confused and dizzy with the heat. When Langa pulled away, he realized what he just did and also turned bright red. "I-uh I don't-". But then Langa cut himself off gaining more confidence for what he's about to say next. "Reki. I love you. Not as a friend, but as something more. I'll wait for your answer." The small boy had his mouth left open still processing what just happened. Langa turned around and left, leaving Reki sill against the wall of the hospital.
