"You like her."
"No, I don't."
"Yes, you do," Katie insisted as she followed her brother down to the lobby.
The entire ride in the elevator was spent with her pestering Kendall about his feelings for Stella. She was trying to get him to admit that he did in fact like her like she knew he did.
"Look, if I liked Stella then would I ask the new girl to come to our not-party tonight?" He smirked proudly, thinking he finally found a way to get her to stop nagging him.
He was actually planning on nonchalantly inviting Stella before James got the chance to. In fact, He hadn't been planning on inviting the new girl to their party at all but it seemed he had to now. And he also had to let James invite Stella since Katie would use that to further tease him about the crush he was adamantly denying.
"Do you even know her name?" Katie arched a brow, clearly not happy with this.
"Of course I do!" He huffed and marched away from him towards the new girl but he only took a few steps before he was right back by his sister's side with a hopeful look.
"Stella," She deadpanned.
Kendall nodded and smiled, even taking a few steps before he realized what she'd said. "Katie!" He complained.
"What? You were happy, you know why? Because you like Stella and she's the one you actually want to invite to this stupid party," She exclaimed.
"Sh!" Kendall yelped frantically as he looked around hoping Bitters hadn't heard her, "Will you just please tell me her name? Her actual name," He added sternly.
Katie sighed and pursed her lips, obviously annoyed. "Jo," She reluctantly said.
"Thank you!" He sang and kissed her cheek before he rushed out to the pool.
He frowned when he saw James talking to Stella but he knew Katie was still within eyesight so he had to force himself to look away. Instead, he strolled over to the new girl- Jo. "So we're having a small gathering get-together tonight."
She raised a brow with a chuckle. "You mean a party?"
"Shh!" He said quickly and lowered his voice to a whisper, "It's not a party! Anyways, I was wondering if you would be my guest friend... person thing?" He chuckled awkwardly.
"You mean your date," She corrected with furrowed brows.
"That's a term that could also be used," He shrugged, "But let's just stick with guest-friend-person-thing."
"So you want me to be your guest friend person thing at your non-party?" She repeated.
"It's gonna be super fun, and it starts at 7:00," He smiled, hoping this would get Katie off his back. As he turned to walk away, Bitters popped up in front of him from seemingly nowhere.
