"...But then Jo told me I have to take off my helmet and Kendall told me I-" Carlos continued to list all the confusing and contradicting advice Jo and Kendall gave him to get a date.
"Carlos," Stella cut him off with a huff, "Ignore all of that. In fact, any time a blonde other than me talks to you, ignore everything they say."
"Hey," Kendall greeted as he joined them, "I found the perfect girl for you!"
"Good!" Stella exclaimed happily when Carlos ignored him and she gave him a corndog. As Kendall looked between them with furrowed brows
"Is there a reason why girls don't wanna go out with me?" Carlos mused sadly as he loudly chewed on the corndog.
Stella grimaced at the sight. "You mean, like, one reason that stands out of all the other reasons?" She joked.
"So, now you're going to tell me what to do?" He asked hopefully with a mouthful of candy.
"Yeah, be Carlos," She said simply.
"What?!" He said in shock, having spent an hour with Kendall and Jo being told to not be himself.
"Sure, you're a little goofy but you're also really sweet and cute," She pointed out, "And pretending to be someone else just to get a date is easy but keeping that up? Carlos, that is an elaborate, long-term lie that requires tremendous commitment. A nice dumb guy like you can't pull that off."
"Sure I can," He argued with a childish pout as he turned to Kendall to back him up only to have him pretend to be incredibly busy.
"Lie to me right now," She demanded.
Carlos nodded determinedly. "Okay... I have a spaceship."
She decided not to comment on how bogus the lie was from the get-go and instead gave him a chance. "What kind of fuel powers your spaceship?" She mused.
Carlos immediately opened his mouth to answer before he paused and frowned. "Okay, I don't have a spaceship," He admitted with a sad sigh.
"No!" Stella yelled, making them jump, "Stand your ground! If someone questions you, distract them from the original lie with more lies. Here, let me demonstrate. I own a pony. Ask me a question."
"Okay. Um, what color is your pony?" Kendall asked with a shrug.
"Well, when I first got Dandelion, she was a deep, chestnut brown, but, sadly, her stable was near an old chemical plant, which contaminated the drinking water. So over time, she's turned a sickly, grayish-white color and there's nothing that the vet can do to fix her," Stella frowned, her eyes even turning glassy as she looked down to wipe her eyes.
Carlos gasped. "Oh, my God! I'm-- That's horrible. Is Dandelion going to be okay?"
Stella looked up, her sad look immediately being replaced with a smirk.
