Hollywood Arts was practicing Uptown Downtown ahead of their opening night in a week and it was not going well. Stella had gotten the lead role and her two love interests, the rich gentleman and the bellhop, were played by Thomas and Kendall.

Stella and Kendall were in the middle of performing the final number, Finally Falling, and everyone could tell there was something going on between them. And not in a good way.

"Cut!" Marshall yelled as he pinched the bridge of his nose tiredly, "You two were amazing at yesterday's rehearsal and now you're giving me nothing! There's no charm, no chemistry, there's nothing!"

"I think the vein in his neck is going to pop," Jade laughed gleefully.

"Don't look at me," Stella rolled her eyes and glared at Kendall, "I can't make him not suck."

"Can we just talk about what happened," He begged desperately.

"Can you just jump off a mountain," She countered sharply.

"Let's take it from the top," Marshall called as he rubbed his temple, "Give me something to work with here, please," He begged.

Stella narrowed her eyes at Kendall before she took a deep breath and turned to face James. She hated how much the blonde was affecting her. She was a renowned actress with enough awards to prove it and yet here she was screwing up a simple school play.

"I don't know," Stella huffed exasperatedly.

"Oh, come on!" James complained, "Why can't you admit that you're in love with me?"

"Why are you in love with me?" She countered.

"Because you're beautiful," He said immediately and smiled, "Look at your face in the moonlight."

"I can't."

"You can," He insisted.

She sighed. "No, a person can't look at their own face, it's impossible."

"Then marry me, and I'll buy you a thousand mirrors," He promised earnestly.

Stella gasped in awe. "But that's so many."

"My father's a billionaire," He brushed off her shock with a proud smile, "I can give you everything you've ever wanted, and I'm very good-looking. Think about it."

"And lights," Marshall called as Stella turned to the right side of the stage, "Go!"

Kendall walked up to her and spoke softly. "It's okay that you don't know."

"But you deserve an answer," She said with a frown.

"I can wait. For you, I would wait a thousand years," He smiled lovingly.

She gasped in awe again. "But that's so many."

Kendall grabbed her hands in his and smiled warmly. "I know I'm poor. I know I don't have much to offer, but I do love you."
