"Gustavo, the song is great," Kendall smiled brightly after they finished their jam session.

"Of course it is great. I wrote it," He scoffed at the obvious being pointed out, "But the band isn't great. What's missing is the secret rock and roll ingredients."

"Hair mousse," James immediately guessed with an excited smile.

"Chocolate mousse?" Carlos asked with hopeful eyes.

"Spandex?" Logan frowned, "Please don't say spandex."

"The bad boy," Gustavo revealed dramatically, "The ill-tempered rebel with a flair for synchronized dance. One of you has to be it. I say it's Kendall," He decided simply.

"Gustavo, why do we need a bad boy?" Kendall asked with an annoyed sigh.

Gustavo didn't say anything, instead, he pointed to Kelly. She held up a photo of Griffin before she played the voicemail he'd left that morning.

"Gustavo, it's Griffin. The band needs a bad boy. Bye.

"He's driving me crazy!" Gustavo yelled exasperatedly before he shrugged, "But he's also right because the bad boy is a rock and roll tradition."

The producer quickly led the band out into the hallway to prove his point. He pointed to the Boyquake poster. "Notice the back turned to the rest of the band. Bad boy," Then it was Boy Blast, "Notice the back turned, the dark clothing, and the scowl. Bad boy."

"But there can only be one bad boy per group," Kelly pointed out as she lifted the Boy Blast poster to reveal one of Bad Boyz, who all had their backs turned to the camera, "As learned from the Bad Boyz experiment of '95."

"Didn't sell a single CD," Gustavo sighed in disdain at the memory of his failure.

"But we're best friends," Kendall reminded them sharply, "We never turn our backs on each other."

"No. Not gonna happen," The rest of the boys agreed immediately.

Gustavo pinched the bridge of his nose and let out a huff. "Then let me let you in on another rock and roll secret. The bad boy is also the most popular member of the band, makes the most money, and dates the hottest models."

"It's true," Kelly admitted as she held up her tablet to show them proof, "Just look at all the guys Stella's dated. She has a thing for bad boys."

"Leather jacket. Dark clothes. Scowl," Gustavo listed as Kelly flicked through numerous photos of Stella with various bad boy celebrities, "All bad boys."

"I'm the bad boy," James decided, "Stella's next bad boy boyfriend turned husband," He smiled dreamily.

The boys frowned when they saw a photo of Stella with a blonde boy dressed in a prep school uniform.
