You wake up to the sounds of eating, a crinkling slurping finger licking sound. Your eyes are open but it's still pitch black. You were totally alone when you fell asleep but you feel a presence next to you in your bed. Someone is sitting or laying next to you and noisily eating something. Your heart races. You live alone, there is no reasonable explanation why someone would be beside you in bed, and what were they eating whoever they are? Whatever they are?
As quietly as you can, you reach over to your nightstand on the other side of you from the presence. You grasp your phone, clutching it to your chest as the slurping noises continue. You position your finger over the button to turn on the screen and you aim it to your other side, where the sound is still coming from, and quickly before you lose your nerve you hit the button turning on the screen.A dim glow comes from your phone and without your glasses you can only make out a blurry figure with an abnormally large head, which stops its eating to whip around to look at you. The light from your phone gleams off of large sharp teeth, like rows of kitchen knives.
You scream, trying to wiggle back, caught in your covers your other hand grapsing at your nightstand for something, anything, to save you from whatever this is. You feel your glasses which you snatch up and throw on your face and you see... Nothing. It's gone. You finally rip off your blankets and run for the light switch, flipping it on and you see.. Nothing. Whatever it was it's gone. You check under the bed and still nothing, you check your bathroom-nothing. You walk around your entire house and see no sign of the monster with the millions of knife-like teeth. Once you've checked the entire house and still see no sign of it, you go back to bed, convinced you had dreamt it and it was your tired eyes playing tricks on you. You turn off the lights, put your glasses and phone back on the nightstand. The clock reads "3:00 am" on the dot. You crawl back into bed and just as you're about to fall asleep you turn and your hand touches something crinkly in your bed. You shoot up, grabbing your glasses and phone. Flipping on the flashlight app and shining it towards what you touched. There's a Hersheys chocolate wrapper. And it's empty save for one single square.

Short StoryVarious stories of relatively short length (under 1000 words). I tend to write more Horror than anything, but honestly we will see where this goes. Each chapter will be a different story. I've no idea how long I'll let it go or how often I'll update...
