The Connection

Chapter Eight: MEETING HER BEST FRIEND

That sentence broke their spell. They hadn't noticed the girl. Their faces became red once they separated. The girl was still there, looking at them with a funny face.

"Wheein, in four days I haven't heard from you, and I was so worried. I decided to come if everything is okay, and I discovered you making out in the garden with a new boy. I expect an explanation! By the way, hello, handsome boy!".

"I'm so sorry, Hwasa. This week was so chaotic for me!" said Wheein, standing up and begging Hyejin for her pardon. "I'll explain everything to you".

Taehyung followed them inside the house once his little problem had calmed. He sat on the sofa which was farther away, looking at the girls.

"Hwasa, he is my bodyguard, Taehyung. Taehyung, she is my best friend, Hwasa or Hyejin".

They saluted each other. After that, Hyejin said Taehyung:

"Okay, sexy bodyguard, why were you and Wheein making out in the garden? Is it a part of your job? Because I don't think so." Hwasa was smirking. She was a sexy and intimidating woman, who made Taehyung speechless.

"It's not a part of my job..." his words were like a murmur, "I got carried away by her, and we kissed..." Then, he took a deep breath, and he confessed: "I have liked Wheein since the first day I met her and I know, it's probable she has the same feelings..." Wheein and Taehyung looked at each other for a while. Meanwhile, Hyejin was contemplating them. She didn't understand anything. What had happened during those days?

Wheein woke up from her dream and she replied Taehyung:

"Byul told me about the connection. I don't know if what I feel it's the connection or not. Maybe it's desire". Wheein's voice was increasing its volume as she spoke.

"Wheein, I'm also a beginner here, it's my first time having feelings for someone. I've never been in love before." Taehyung confessed.

"You've never been in love, but it seems you have a lot of experience with girls..."

"Wheein, you and I, both, have experience. We are not virgins and what? Does it matter? I don't care about your past relationships. We are here now, you and me..."

Hyejin was looking at them. Her head was moving from one to another, like a tennis match. She didn't have problems with the sexy conversation, because Wheein and her talked openly about it, but she wanted them to have this conversation later.

"Wheein, Taehyung, I need someone to explain to me what has happened here! I'm just a human who doesn't understand the vampire world" she shouted, "So, you are going to sit with me here, and explain everything to me. NOW!"

After sitting next to her, they began to explain to her the events that had occurred.

"Are you telling me that your parents finally got worried about you and your life as a femme fatale ?" Hyejin chortled.

"Ya, Hyejin-ah! Don't laugh at me!"

"Everything happens for a reason and you and you, '' said pointing at Wheein and Taehyung, "have met thanks to that order! You are so lucky, Wheein, Taehyung is so hot" Hwasa had murmured the last words, but Taehyung could still hear them.

Suddenly, Hyejin exclaimed: "Wheein, we are going shopping! Let's go! It's an order you should follow me. C'mon!"

Wheein tried to refuse, but Hyejin was so persistent. They took public transport to go to the mall. It was the first time for Taehyung. He was excited to see how humans live their lives.

Hyejin and Wheein were in front of him with their arm in arm. They were talking a lot. Hyejin was murmuring again, she wasn't conscious of the vampire's ears.

"Wheein, you need to buy new clothes, as well as sexy lingerie. You can't still wear those ugly pants and bras. Today, your closet will be updated. Thank me later" she said winking her eyes.

"Hyejin-ah! I don't need them".

"Of course you need them. You almost have sex with him today. What if he saw your old lingerie? I know humans forget everything after the bite, but vampires don't, right? You've told me about that boy..."

"Right," Wheein quickly answered, "Vampires remember everything after the bite, humans will forget if they don't have a connection, and half vampires, as Taehyung, could remember everything too."

After some shopping in different shops, they entered the lingerie shop. Taehyung stayed outside, thinking about the girl's previous conversation. "Did Wheein have a vampire boyfriend? When they gave him the info about her, there wasn't anything about that. She even acted as if she didn't know certain things with Byul..." Taehyung was wondering what could have happened. He was immersed in his mind when Wheein and Hyejin left the shop with two bags.

"Let's play some games in the arcade." Hyejin was so excited. It had been a while since they had a good time together. The two friends ran to their favorite game. They were having fun, their laughs made Taehyung realize how Wheein enjoyed the human world. He was watching them play, when his phone rang, his boss was calling him. He picked up the phone, and he moved towards a quiet place.

They talked for more than 10 minutes, and when he hung up the call, he went inside the arcade to tell Wheein that they should talk.
