Chapter Twelve: CONFESSIONS

Hwasa was waiting for Namjoon. She had finished getting ready half an hour ago, and now she was looking through the window. Namjoon had sent her a message saying that he was near her house. To be honest, she was a bit scared to be alone with a vampire. When Wheein called her to tell her all the details, as well as that Namjoon, was going to pick her up, Hyejin felt anxious. It would be the first time for her to be alone with a vampire without counting on Wheein.

She decided to revise if she had put all the important things in her purse and in the suitcase. Wheein had called her to tell her that they would stay in the palace for one night.

Suddenly, her phone made a sound. It was a new message. "I am here," it said. Hyejin hurried up and grabbed her belongings, closed the door of her apartment, and went to the car.

A man in a black suit was outside the car waiting for her. He was tall and his body muscular, as you would expect from a royal guard.

He offered her his hand saying "I'm Namjoon, nice to meet you."

"My name is Hyejin," said Hyejin. They entered the car and Namjoon began to drive.

In the beginning, the atmosphere was a bit awkward, until Namjoon decided to break the silence and talk.

"Where have Wheein and you met?" Namjoon asked her.

"We met at college. We studied arts, but Wheein focused on drawing and arts, while I preferred to center in modeling."

"Namjoon looked at her out of the corner of his eye. "Of course she has to be a model," he thought. The dress code said that women should wear a long dress or a pantsuit. Hyejin, thanks to Wheein, was wearing a long slip dress.

"At the beginning, Wheein was so scared to get closer to me due to the fact she is a vampire, but after a few times, we became closer and closer." Hyejin continued. "After that, our mutual trust began to increase, and later on, she confessed to me she was the princess of a vampire world. To be honest, I laughed out loud! I thought she was making up a story and now it's the first time I will go there."

"I see," said Namjoon. "In my case, it is the first time alone with a human."

"Really?" asked a surprised Hyejin. She was a bit shocked because Wheein had told her that real guards were half-humans / half-vampires. "He had to have a human parent, didn't he?" she thought.

Meanwhile, Taehyung was getting ready in his house, when the bell rang. He opened the door and Jimin and Hoseok entered.

"When were you going to tell us about you and Wheein?!" both explained. They could see the surprise in Taehyun's face. "Moonbyul told us that you have changed since the last day she saw you. C' mon spit it out!"

"Wheein wants to go slowly. So, I couldn't tell you about it because I'm scared she could break up with me. I wanted to wait a little bit before confessing it to you."

"We didn't expect that. We won't say anything," said Hoseok.

"We should go. It's time for the guests to arrive," said Jimin.

"Let's go," said Hoseok and Taehyung.

In the palace, Wheein and Jin were at Wheein's bedroom talking. Wheein had confessed her relationship with Taehyung. Surprisingly, Jin wasn't shocked at all. He told her that he knew that that would happen in the future.

"I don't understand Jin," said Wheein.

"When Taehyung joined the royal guards, he felt a connection with you. You hadn't noticed anything, so he decided not to be present when you were with us. After a time, he talked with our parents about it. He wanted their permission to begin to court you. It was at that time when you decided to live in the human world."

"Are you telling me that our parents know about it, Jin?"

"Yes. In my opinion, they organized everything to send Taehyung to the human world."

Wheein was speechless and at that moment, someone came to inform that guests would arrive at any moment.
