(tw: this chapter talks about mentions of death ,rape and abortion. This doesn't have anything to do with the main story line... actually it does but not really. People have their own opinions on abortion, and this chapter will have mine. If your opinion is different than my own, i respect you. but i will not allow comments that criticize me for my views or replies to other readers criticizing theirs. This is a place of equality and everyones opinions are valid.

Also this is probabky wayyy different from what was told during the story previously but it was told in Macs pov. This is Mika. She was older so she knew different things and had different experiences)

Ito Mika never thought she was a good mom. Having a child at a young age with no one to help her, or no job to finacially support herself, her brother, or her kid. She was so scared to be a mother.

She thought her boyfriend at the time had loved her. It was the typically high school "puppy love" where one member of the relationship plans out their entire future after a few months of dating. Mika was one of those people. She was finally happy in life. Having a relationship was a good distraction from her mom. No arguing, no yelling, no complaining. It was bliss. Someone had opened up their arms to her and gave her love. She glady reached out to grasp it.

Mika never saw the red flags.

He would get frustrated when she called twice a day. One in the morning, one at night. The constant "are we okay?" whenever they hung out together or sat with each other during school. He got angry to the point where he told her to stop being paranoid and texting instead of calling was better.

Red Flag.

He would always go through her phone(like she had anything to hide. It was an old flip phone). He would delete any pictures that weren't of her, or any that weren't of him. Mika got curious one day and wanted to change his own lock screen to a picture of herself because she had worn a cute hair pen. She spotted pictures of a few girls. She was confused and confronted him about it to which he said "those are just my cousins" but then proceeded to get mad that she had went on his phone without asking.

Red flag.

Going places, she always had to tell him where, and get permission to go out with what little friends she had.

Red flag.

All of her time would be given to him. If she had homework, she had to wait until she was home or not with him. He gets all of her attention, even if something more important comes up, he must always have it.

Red flag.

It may seem like such simple things, but to her, it was miserable. She didn't know how relationships work. She never had a good parental figure that would explain things or show how a relationship was meant to be.

It all changed when everything got sexual a few months after they started dating.

She was not ready to be in a relationship like that. She had no experience. She didn't know what to do if the time came for them to do that kind of stuff. In her mind, she wanted to wait until she was ready, like in those movies where they get married and have fun on their honeymoon, not 5 months into a high school relationship. Hell, she didn't even know if she even wanted to have sex to begin with. She's never had urges.

"Can we not wait? I don't really want to."

"No. If you love me, you'd do it."

That's how it was everytime. The first time was painful. He didn't go slow at all. Didn't even prepare her for what was going to happen. It was so uncomfortable and she felt disgusting. She didn't want that. She was pressured into concent. No one should be pressured into sex. But she was so naive, and with that, she wanted to make him happy.
