Yoan :Chapter 11

Ren rode with Dakota sitting behind him. Ren had to hold on to Dakota with one hand to keep him from falling as Dakota's whole body seemed to be paralyzed. They rode for a little while, simply heading away from the capital and the chaos, when they ran into Yoan and Julie, who were making their way to their next location they got from BJ. Upon seeing each other both parties stopped.

"Ren? Dakota? What are you guys doing here?"
Julie asked knowing how much Ren loves his days off and didn't expect him to have left the capital.

"Yea, so a lot happened after you guys left. I don't think you guys should go that way. I can explain but we just have to get out of here and find something for Dakota. He can't move."

"He can't move? What the hell happened? And where are we going to go?"
Julie was getting frustrated with the lack of information she was getting.

"Hey, I know where we can go. Bj's house.  That should be far enough from the capital, plus he wanted to see all of us anyway to give us some information on what's going on with the clover kingdom and our king."
Yoan chimed in with the idea and everyone agreed as Yoan and Julie led the way back to Bj's house. While they travel they only had time to explain how Bj blinded himself to Ren and Dakota before  they arrived. They made their way inside, making their presence known.

"Bj! It's us. We're back from the lake and we have Ren abs Dakota with us too." Yoan yelled out to get Bj's attention.

"Oh, well welcome back. I assume everything went good. Were you all able to visit the caves as well?"

"Actually, we were on our way there when we ran into Ren and Dakota."

"That's right," Ren jumped into the conversation. "We have a problem at the capital. And we still need to figure out a way to get Dakota unparalyzed."

"Paralyzed you say? Hmm I think I may have something for that." Bj went into a back room and came back out with a bottle. "Have him drink this."
Ren took the bottle and slowly poured some into Dakota's mouth. Almost instantly Dakota had gained control over his senses.

"Holy fuck! That freaking sucked. Thanks you guys." Dakota thanked everyone with a huge grin.

"Now that that's taken care of, what happened with you guys? Everything was fine when we first left you two." Julie asked impatiently as she had been curious this entire time.
Ren and Dakota explained how the king summoned them to handle some soldiers from the Clover kingdom who had a village hostage.  They explained how it was a trap and how the Clover kingdom's soldiers  were hoping for the king to kill the messenger to tie up any loose ends. They explained how when they returned to warn the king they were too late and the messenger had been dead for days and the deamon beast he was implanted with had hatched and had time to feed and grow to unimaginable sizes.  Dakota explained how the king branded them as traitors who turned after the mission in the Clover kingdom.

"The guards were going to take me away when a giant poisoned claw hornet came crashing into the room. I used the confusion to escape and that's when I ran into one of the king's secret guard dogs. He's the one that paralyzed me. If it wasn't for Ren I would've been done for." Dakota smiled at Ren and he gave him a thumbs up in return.

"Well this sucks. What are we suppose to do now? If the king has branded us as traitors we can't just go back and explain ourselves. How am I going to show everyone my new power now?" Julie was frustrated with the new information she had just learned.

"Wait, powers? What do you mean powers?" Dakota asked confused as Ren looked on with confusion as well.

"Oh, well you see, while out with our young and adventurous Yoan, we ran into a member of the kings secret guards too. She was fighting some guy and after a big tussle we ended up with a specialist card. And now I can do this." Julie grabbed Dakota by his back and lifted him into the air with ease with one arm. She chuckled as Ren looked on in amazement while Dakota protested from the air.
