Chapter 3: She caused my family's death

Edward wasn't the type of person to hate for no reason and Gabriel understood this and that's why he was patient.

"Edward would you be so kind to finally tell me the reason behind your hatred for Dora?"Gabriel asked
"To be honest bro..i didn't hate her from the beginning"Edward said
"Then?" Gabriel said
"It baffles me to say this but i actually liked Dora..i loved everything about her..i loved her intelligence, her way of thinking and so much more.. No offence bro " Edward said
"None taken!'Gabrial said
"But all that went down the drain because she caused my family's death!"Edward said with teary eyes.. Just the thought of his family brought back bad memories.

"Explain better"Gabriel said with curiosity..Dora wasn't that kind of person.
"Our dispute started when Dora was announced as the winner of the scholarship which my sister had worked her butts off for  ..that was Esther's only chance of getting into a good university that didn't require payment.
But as the case turned out to be , Dora used her connections and won the scholarship.. On the other hand , my sister.. Out of the heart break of loosing her dream .. She ran out of the school.. Not noticing the truck that was approaching.. About to cross to the other side of the road and was immediately hit by the moving truck... She gave up the ghost before reaching the hospital.
On hearing this news dad had a stroke and died.. My mom being an emotional person couldn't handle the pain of loosing her daughter and husband on the same day.. Started displaying symptoms of mental disorder ..i couldn't bare to send her to a mental asylum.little did i know that she would die after two years .
Thus i lot my family ."Edward narrated as tears filled his eyes .

He had lost all hope of ever loving a family .Gabriel tried to console his friend.. He wouldn't question him until later because he knew there was more to this story.

"I know it hurts bro and am really sorry for that but if you look at it with a clear mind ..it wasn't really Dora's fault "Gabriel said in a soft tone .
"What are you trying to say ?" Edward asked feeling a bit angry.
"What i mean is ...she didn't ask the judges to give her the scholarship"Gabriel said
"You know Dora is rich and affluent.. She could have bribed them and gotten the price "Edward said
"She could also have scored higher than your sister!"Gabriel pointed out the fact
"Infact what did she need the scholarship for ..she was rich wasn't she ?. ..but oh no the lady wanted to prove a point that i dont still understand" Edward said
"Why don't you guys talk things out and reconcile it will really be good"Gabriel suggested
"I don't think so.  Good night"Edward said as he walks out of the house.
