chapter 11: deny her feelings

Dora closed her eyes as the cold shower cooled down what seemed to be an over thinking brain .
Her mind was in turmoil ...and to think she had waited for this day to come .
This day when Edward finally forgave her and now she wished he never forgave her and he also never made her feelings resurface .

What did he expect her to do ..was she meant to abandon Gabriel and go back to him or continue speaking to him like everything was okay between them ..
ohh that was impossible with the way her heart was beating rapidly but the question was
"for who ?" .

Was it beating for Gabriel or Edward .

Dora hit her fist on the tiled wall of the large bathroom as tears of confusion and pain covered her cheeks .

She definitely couldn't leave the man who was with her when no one cared but she also couldn't deny her feelings .

She turned off the shower and went out of the bathroom .

Her phone had been ringing for a while now ...it was Gabriel.

" Hey babe ..have you gotten the documents?" Gabriel asked .

Dora tried clearing her throat ..she had been crying alot that night but she definitely didn't want him finding that out .

"Babe ..you there ?" Gabriel asked .

"Yea..yea..I'm with the documents" Dora replied in heasth .

" What's wrong Dora " Gabriel asked realizing something wasn't right ..the Dora he knew always sounded happy and excited when talking to him .

"No..nothing..nothing is wrong " Dora replied ..with what seemed like tears overshadowing her view.

" I know there's something wrong ..tell me babe " Gabriel urged her to speak ..though he wanted to break up their relationship ..he sure didn't want her to be shattered and at the moment he felt she was not herself .

"I said am alright Gabe ..I'm just feeling sleepy ..you know I haven't had rest since today " Dora said as an excuse .

" Okay ..if you say so ..go get some sleep , you sound exausted" Gabriel said .

'yea.. exausted from crying and thinking alot ' Dora thought to herself .

" Good night " Gabriel said .

"Hmmm" Dora exclaimed and disconnected the call .

"..." (Gabriel).

But before Gabriel could register Dora's last reaction ..his phone rang again .

"Hello"

" Why are you calling me " Gabriel asked.

"Ohh son is that the way you receive calls from relatives .?"

" I know why you're calling and I've told you recently that I quit ..I can't do what you want !!" Gabriel yelled .

"Calm down .. remember I am your father!" He yelled back .

" I will not stoop to your level any more ."Gabriel argued ..he was fed up of his dad's greed and unsatisfaction .

"If you back out on our plans then you'll regret it gravely " His dad said with a deadly voice ..he meant every word he said .

"I've tried but not any more ...I can't please just let me go " Gabriel replied and disconnected the call.

Things were getting out of hand ..he followed each and every thing his father said until he met Dora and now he had to stand his ground and be true to himself and what was right .

It was time for him to go against his dad if it meant doing the right thing .
