Y/n's POV-

I was at the sandlot waiting for all the boys to get their cause I woke up early so I decided to go to the sandlot and wait while I was waiting I looked up to see a boy coming up to the sandlot... "hey you're y/n right" the boy said walking up to me "um yeah why" I say raising an eyebrow confused "oh well I was just asking cause I'm new to town and I've never lived at a place like this before? And some kid named Phillips told me about you" I chuckle "well I've actually lived here for three years but I've just started to go out more!" The boy just stares at me in my eyes "well did you need me or...?" I say waiting for him to answer cause I need to go find the boys so we can play ball "well I was wondering if you could show me around cause I still don't know the place that well..?" "Umm sure, but when cause I can't right now 'cause I'm going to play baseball with my friend's soo??" I say longing for the end of my sentence "Well maybe after you're done here you can show me around?" I thought about it for a second "Sure," I say, and not a minute after the boy says "well do you think I can have your number so you can text me when you're ready??" I paused to look at him Should I say yes or no "umm yeah sure I guess why not?" I say, he takes out his phone and passes it to me and as I was putting my number he walks up closer to me, at this point I could feel him breathing over my head. I was putting my name to Y/n l/n :) and then handed him his phone back. At this point I was looking into his eyes "thanks" he says. not even after a second he puts his hands on my face and the next thing I know is that this random boy is kissing me... then I pulled away and just give him a death stare, I was about to say something until he cut me off "well uhh see ya around bye love" he says waving and walking away.

I turn around to go look for the boys still trying to process what just happened. I thought maybe the boys were still walking to the sandlot, but I was wrong Benny was there looking shocked as if he has just seen what just happened "wait how long were you standing there?" I ask Benny "it's doesn't matter," Benny says looking down at the ball he had in his hands "what do you mean it doesn't matter?" "Just leave it alone ok," he says still looking at his hands "and why are you so upset about it?" "It was just a kiss, Benny," I say "yeah exactly it was just a kiss" "it doesn't matter ok," he says looking up at me, I can see his eyes water up a bit "I'll go find the boys," Benny says walking away. He was about to get out of the sandlot when I said "it does matter By the way" he turns around to face me "how does it matter y/n please tell me how" Benny says louder than before with his voice cracking a bit. I could hear how hurt he is, I stay silent looking down at my feet, I look back up to Benny "it matters cause I love you Benny" I say "you what?" Benny says "yeah I love you, Benny"

||Minutes earlier||

Benny's POV-
I woke up the happiest I've ever been but also a bit nervous. I got up and took a quick shower. Today I decided that I was going to wear my Jersey, I put on my clothes and comb my hair and put on some Cologne, I grave my glove and the ball and start walking to the front door "mom I'm going to the sandlot see you later bye" I said to my mom that was in the living room. I walk into the sandlot with a smile on my face cause today was THE day. Today was my day, today was the day I will tell y/n I like her. What am I kidding I love her.
