With other members in the group keeping watch, the others were able to get some sleep. (Y/n) had felt exhausted and sore after yesterday's game. She woke up to a body snuggled up against her, an arm across her chest. There laid her girlfriend, still asleep and so innocent.
But while it was a pleasant sight to take in, (Y/n) knew they had to be awake once the red soldiers entered the room to call them for the next game. Gently, (Y/n)'s fingers combed some of Sae-Byeok's hair from her face which evidently stirred the skinnier woman to awaken.
Sae-Byeok opened her eyes and a smiled formed as she raspily greeted her lover. "Good morning."
(Y/n) blushed and gave her girlfriend a kiss on her cheek. "Good morning, my love. My Sae..."
Sae-Byeok blushed. "You haven't called me that in a long time."
"Well, since we're a thing again, I figured that you wouldn't mind me calling you that again. After all, I remember how much you loved it when I gave you all sorts of attention."
An alarm wailing startled everybody in the room when four armed men entered the room. Orders were barked, commanding the players to stand in the centre of the room while the dormitory was searched. They were all curious, but made no fuss about it nonetheless.
Not long after, and they were dragged off to the room they were in yesterday. This time, they were to be assigned in groups of two. With player numbers dwindling, it made sense that there were few less guards designated to monitor the behaviour of the players.
With another ten minutes to find their groups of two, (Y/n) and Sae-Byeok had already formed their pact. As for everyone else, it was more difficult to think of the next game they were playing and how they were to play it out. As soon as groups were assigned and the ten minutes were up, the players were taken to the next game room.
In appearance of a small town, the players were curious as to what they would be playing. Soldiers strapped with bodycams monitored a group of two players to certain areas where they were to play the fourth game.
"Are you okay?" Sae-Byeok whispered.
(Y/n) glanced at her girlfriend and mumbled in honesty. "Not really. I got a bad feeling about this, Sae."
"Don't worry. We'll get through this. Together."
When the masked minion ceased walking, he turned around to face the two women and raised his arms up, holding two bags. Hesitantly, the players took the bags and counted what was inside.
Marbles.
"Players, please take one bag from the staff member before you. There should be a set of ten marbles in each bag." The instructor announced. "Please check to confirm the number. In this game, using your set of ten marbles, you will play the game of your choice with your partner. The player who manages to take all ten marbles from their partner wins. You will have thirty minutes to complete the game."
"Oh God..." (Y/n) murmured.
The couple looked at one another, fearing what was to come once either of them won.
"S-Sae, I-I-I don't know about this one."
"Hey. It'll be fine. We've got thirty minutes to think of something to play - it's marbles. Shouldn't be too hard to think of how one of us can win." Sae-Byeok replied reassuringly despite her trembling lip saying otherwise.
"I-Is this how we're going to die? I don't want us to die." (Y/n) whimpered tearily.
Sae-Byeok wrapped her arms around her lover's back and pulled them into a tight hug. Her hand stroked the back of (Y/n)'s head, humming to her as she calmed her lover down.
