Cold (Ghost!Dream)

Chapter 9

Wilbur immediately pulled Dre close to him, slowly floating away. The others silently panic, feeling George and Sapnap's anger. "Well? Are you going to explain?!" Sapnap yelled. Niki steps forward, "Calm down, we're just a bit startled."  She turns to the ghosts and notices Dre's alarmed eyes. "I'll take those two to the back-" "NO, Dream, is staying here," George says, about to grab the ghost. Tommy slaps the man's hand away, covering Dre. "Stay away from him, you've hurt him enough..."

Sapnap scoffs, an annoyed smile appearing on his face. "We've hurt him enough? He's hurt us more than you know. He probably hasn't told you because he wants to be seen as an innocent ghost!!" "Woah, Sap, step back. He's literally the same as Wilbur." Quackity stops his fiance. "Why are you siding with him, Q?" Sap looked at him with a pained face. "Hasn't he hurt you too? Aren't you mad at him?" 

Quackity clench his teeth. "Of course I'm still mad at him... but Sap, he's dead. He is a ghost with no memories. We felt... sorry for Wilbur at first, so it's okay to feel sorry for Ghost Dream too." The man looked unsure with his words. Sapnap glared at him. Not wanting to hear any more, he turns to walk out of the door, dragging George along. "No wait, Sap-" George pulls his hand out of Sap's grasp. "Q, you said... lost memories? Just like Wilbur?"

Techno steps in front of George, "Dre remembers you two, of course. Unfortunately, he has no memory of you as good people," He lied. Tubbo gasps, "Techno-" "He has bad memories of you. Even if you try to apologize him, I think he'd be too afraid to forgive." The piglin smirks, "And it's because of your ignorant selves. Now go on. Come back if you dare." George's heart stopped before quickly turning away with Sap. "I... understand..."

"Techno, why would you say that!?" Tubbo yelled, grabbing the noble's robe. "I did what I needed to do. It was to get them away and to protect Dream." Techno looked at Dre, his face softening as he took in the small ghost's shaken state. The young male who held his robe sighed, letting go. Technoblade looks up at Wilbur, the older ghost sadly smiles. "He's calming down, just... a bit scared." 

"..ho...were..." Dre whispered. "Who were those..." Techno gets closer, "Don't worry about them, Dre. They're not people you should dwell on. For now, if you ever see them, avoid them." Dre nods, cuddling closer to Wilbur. "Whew," Niki sighed, "Glad that's over." The woman pets the Dre's head,
"Do you want more chocolates?"

The day goes on, the group heading to meet more people. Fortunately, George and Sapnap were no-where to be seen so it was safe to let Dre wander the city. Dre was slowly warming up to people, even those who held a grudge against him decided not to taint the ghost.

Tommy was relieved of this, this meant he didn't need to hide with his father away from the country he loves. Of course, this didn't mean that he'd always stay here. He'll go back to Phil and Techno's house, that was his forever home with Wilbur and Dre.

However, going back home wouldn't stop him from facing chaos that was bound to happen.

All this warmth and love is familiar. It's like that time with Mama, Papa, and Tubs. Where we all cuddled up under a blanket by the fireplace. This is familiar feeling is warmer than that memory. The coldness is barely there.

Those two people, froze me once again. It wasn't a pleasant feeling, I didn't like it. I was so scared, even Wilby's warmth didn't help. The white bandana man was the one mostly freezing me, the goggles man... gave off a soft gentle but cold breeze of wind.

He looked hurt when Tech told him about my memory lost. He stared at me with terrified eyes. I didn't want to see them anymore so I hugged Wilby tightly, the coldness still didn't go away until they left. The cold slowly thawed away.

Tech tells me to avoid them. Even though I'm curious about them, I never want to be cold again. I still need to meet Mama.

Where did Mama go?
