Hugo's POV
Hugo ran back to his bedroom until he noticed that the door of his parent's bedroom wasn't closed. He went inside and looked everywhere.
Wow, I didn't know that my father has a photo of my mother on his nightstand. But in that picture, she was younger. Something like my age, no not my age, a little older, more like Emma's age. Maybe this was when my father met my mother. But why doesn't he have a picture of himself or why does my mother not have a picture of him on her nightstand? Maybe in the drawer of the nightstand.
Hugo opened the drawer.
Wow, what is this? A picture of a lady, blond hair, green eyes, a beautiful smile. She reminds me of Emma. But I have never seen this picture before. Could she be a model that inspired Emma to dress like her? Or could she be a celebrity? Or maybe a family member? Why does my father have a picture of this woman in his drawer? Or she was the girl he loved in the first place. What does my mother have in her drawer?
Hugo opened the drawer of Marinette.
A diary? Should I read it? I could read it and pretend I have never read it, but I am terrible at lying. Maybe she wrote all her secrets in it. Maybe I get to know something about my grandparents. But my mother will not like it. Everything will come clear over time.
Hugo put the diary back. He closed both night drawers and walked back to his bedroom.
Hopefully, Emma and Louis will not ask too many questions.
