HEROES FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION

Prologue

Warning ⚠️ mentions of blood and death

"We need to get out of here now" Jon yelled trying to pull out his seriously injured friend to retreat from the fight they are losing.

Slade with a kryptonite sword tried to strike Jon down, Damian pushed Jon away and he got hit instead and he managed to kick the sword away from Slade but ended up getting stabbed on the side of his stomach.

"Damian!" Jon cried as he rushed to try and save Damian from getting killed. But Slade dropped Damian and shot Jon twice with kryptonite bullets, one on his left knee and the other in his chest.

"Foolish boy, still trying to play the hero. Unfortunately, this is where your child's play end" Slade said aiming his gun at Jon's head. Jon had already closed his eyes accepting his fate. Soon he heard a yell and soon he heard something hit the ground.

When he opened his eyes, he saw Damian and Slade having a hand-to-hand battle. No weapon's in this fight, Damian's katana and utility belt has already been discarded during the beginning of the fight.

"Don't think that you can win this battle boy" Slade said as he kicked Damian's head. Damian blocked the kick and punched Slade to his jaw and kicked him in the chest. Slade fell and Dian quickly turned to Jon, "What are you waiting for, run" he yells blocking a kick from Slade.

"There's no way I'm leaving you behind" Jon yelled back with tears in his eyes

"Well it's not like you're strong enough to help me," he said blocking another attack from Slade and jumping away and turning to Jon. "Don't worry about me, I already called for backup, don't worry about me, just go!"

Slade gave Damian a roundhouse on his chest and quickly grabbed his second sword. "This is where you end. Say goodbye to your friend"

When he was about to kill Damian, Jon used his heat vision to melt the sword and rushed to punch Slade.

Unfortunately, Slade dodged the punch and grabbed Jon's cape as pulled Jon towards him and knocked him out with a kick to the face.

'Damian, I'm sorry'  he thought as he finally lost consciousness.

Beep, Beep, Beep.

Jon heard as he regained his consciousness. He looked around him and saw that he was in Justice League's space tower, a lovely view of Earth from space.

He, then remembered what had happened he quickly sat up. Soon his father and Batman entered the room. "I'm so glad you are ok" his dad, Superman, said hugging him.

"Where's Dami?" He asked, he could see a sad expression on Batman's face and he began to panic. "Where is he? What happened?"

"We got to the warehouse too late, we found Damian's body a few feet away from your location, outside the warehouse, Slade had already killed him, you were next but fortunately we arrived on time." Batman tried to say without any emotion, but Jon could hear the sadness in his voice.

Jon felt himself beginning to tear up. 'No, he can't be dead. I've failed, I failed to protect him, it's because I was weak Damian died'  he thought as began to cry.

Both his dad and Batman tried to comfort him but was no use. He asked them how long he was out and he was told that he has been in a coma for almost a month.

When he got home, every time he tried to sleep, he had nightmares of Damian's death and had a lot of trouble sleeping due to PTSD.

When his parents found out, they made him go for therapy with Black Canary. She discovered p that Jon was feeling a bit guilty about Damian's death, he told her that if he was stronger then he would have been able to protect Damian and he would still be alive.

Black Canary told Jon that Damian sacrificed his life to save him, and Damian wouldn't want him to mope around over his death.

Hearing that seemed to cheer Jon up a little, but that didn't help with his sleeping disorder. Soon, Black Canary prescribed some sleeping medication to help him sleep. Turns out it worked, but every once in a while, Jon still has nightmares of Damian's death.

Now a year and a half have passed since Damian's death and Jon is now fifteen, danger is lurking and a new mission must be accomplished.
