I woke up extra early for the first day of school, just to make sure I had everything packed in the correct spot, and I was ready for the first day back at school. I got up, got ready, had some hot breakfast that my mom made me, and I was on my way to school. I showed up, and I went to the principal's office where I would find out which class I was in. I look ahead of me, and there is the one and only Chloe Bourgeois. I waited in line, praying that maybe this year we wouldn't be in the same class. I walked up with Chloe just ahead of me.

"Well hello Miss Bourgeois, it looks as if you are in Miss Bustier's class this year." Mr. Damocles told Chloe.

I was disappointed because I was hoping I'd have Miss Bustier's class, but I didn't want to be in it if Chloe was in it. I walked up to Mr. Damocles and awaited my fate for the next year, "Well Miss Dupain-Cheng, it seems as if you are also in Miss Bustier's class this year!"

Great. I walked away and began walking to Miss Bustier's classroom, but I took my time, I didn't want to run into Chloe any earlier than I needed to. Eventually I got to my classroom and almost all of the seats were full. I went to take one in front of Chloe, which ended up being a huge mistake.

"Uh, Dupain-Cheng, you cannot sit there."

"And why not Chloe?"

"My sweet Adrikins is joining our class today, and he is going to sit in front of me. That's that."

I didn't want to argue, so I just grabbed my bag and began looking for another spot. I took a quick scan of the room, and it looked as if every seat was taken. I was feeling hopeless for a moment, until I heard a voice I had never heard yet call me over to their seat. I looked over, and there was a lovely girl with red hair and glasses. I walked over and sat down next to this new girl, who introduced themselves as Alya. I was surprised that Chloe's lie hadn't reached her yet, which also made me wonder what Alya would do once she finds out about why everybody else hates me so much.

We were just about to start class when a boy with blonde hair and green eyes walked in. Chloe called him over to the seat in front of her. So that must be her "Adrikins". There's no way that's his real name. He looked oddly familiar, but I don't think I had ever met him in my life. It was a weird feeling, so I asked Alya if she recognized him too.

"Girl, are you kidding? That's Adrien Agreste!" She said it as if it was obvious and I should know who he was.

"Uh, who is he again?"

"Girl, have you been living under a rock your whole life?? He's only the most famous model in all of Paris? Everybody knows about him!"

Everybody knows about him except for me of course. The morning went by pretty quickly, and before I knew it, it was lunch. Alya and I got our lunch from the canteen and sat outside while we ate it. It was nice actually being able to enjoy lunch with a friend, but it sucked at the same time because I knew that sooner or later she would join forces with Chloe, just like everybody else does.

At the end of lunch, we walked back into the classroom and went to take our seats. When I was about to take mine, I saw the new boy, Adrien, putting gum on my seat! I got so furious. Of course he would be the one to do this, he was new here and he seemed to be good friends with Chloe. Either Chloe put him up to it, or he decided to do it himself to try to impress her. Either way, it was not cool. At all. I caught him in the act, so I had every right to be mad.

"Oh so you think that just since you're a model that you can put gum on people's seats? That is so not cool. I can't believe that you would do that!" I yelled.

"No, you don't understand. I was trying to take it off of your seat. Chloe put it there, and I was just trying to take it off! See?" He asked as he got it off the seat.

"Uh, yeah, nice try. That would be a good cover, but you're friends with Chloe, and unlike everybody else in this classroom, I don't believe the lies that people like her spread!" I huffed and took a seat.

The new boy looked sad. As if he actually felt sad! It was probably all an act. He was being a jerk, and he hasn't even met me before today! I swear that steam was blowing out of my ears, I was so mad. I sat down next to Alya, and she looked a little stunned.

"Hey girl, what was that all about? Not believing lies?" She asked me.

I was in a sticky situation. If I told her about Chloe's lie, she may not believe me and she could gang up on me too, but if she was going to be my friend, I also wanted to be truthful with her. I ended up deciding to tell her what happened. Once I finished, I was getting ready for her to leave, but instead, she surprised me.

"Really? That is so not cool of Chloe. I believe your story!"

I was shocked that someone believed me. Maybe making a new friend wasn't the worst thing after all. I'm just glad I made a new friend with Alya instead of Adrien, he seems like the kind of person who gets influenced too easily, and I don't want that kind of friend in my life.

Before I knew it, it was the end of class, and it was time to go home.
