15 - Princess Justice: The backstory

~Bunnix's POV~

While Minibug and Kitty Noir were fighting Princess Justice, I had to figure out what caused this whole mess. I knew that Princess Justice was just an akumatized Ladybug, but I had to figure out what led to it. I went back to the first portal, where I grabbed Kitty Noir from, and rewinded it a little. I watched as Marinette was with Adrien getting help, then I saw Marinette leave and look back at Adrien's room just as he transformed into Chat Noir. That has to be when she found out that Adrien was Chat Noir.

I went over to the next portal and saw different moments in the near future. I saw Lila confessing to her lies, which led to Marinette getting back into school, then Marinette and Adrien dating. Everyone in the school knew they were together, and they loved it. They even made the news when Marinette designed a runway outfit for Adrien, and they were seen at the show together.

But what led to Ladybug getting akumatized?

I watched each of the portals as they showed their stories. I discovered that Adrien's father made him break up with Marinette after they had their one year anniversary. He told him that she was bad for the Agreste brand. He told him that if he didn't break up with her, he would see to it that Marinette was removed from school, and she would be forced to move away from Paris. He also ensured that if Adrien didn't follow through with it, he would no longer be attending school.

I watched as the next part of their lives unfolded. I saw Adrien go to Marinette's house and break up with her. As he was leaving, Marinette tried to chase him, obviously, and Adrien told her to stay put. He told her that there was no use in trying to fix things, because this thing just could not be fixed. That's when an akuma came along and was headed towards Adrien. Marinette then ran towards him, and transformed on her way. She used her yo-yo to catch the akuma and de-evilize it.

Adrien was then surprised that Marinette would do such a thing, and that's when Marinette told Adrien that she knew he was Chat Noir. They made up, and they thought everything was okay again. And to them it was, but Hawkmoth now knew Ladybug's Identity. Gabriel apologized to Adrien for trying to ruin his relationship, and he told him to continue seeing Marinette. His apology seemed sincere, but it turned out that he was only trying to keep Ladybug close to him.

Then, years into the future, when Ladybug and Chat Noir came close to defeating hawkmoth, Hawkmoth used Marinette's friends and family to get to her. It was all too much for Ladybug, and that's when she got akumatized. When Chat Noir tried to fight her, she used her beam of truth to hit everyone in the city. Secrets came out, and total chaos ensued. People fought using weapons and fire, and eventually the world came to an end, with all of Paris consumed in flames. Princess Justice was then left alone for a few months while I tried to figure out where in the timeline things went wrong, and once I figured it out, I brought Kitty Noir first, then Minibug second to defeat her.
