22 - The Final Battle

After hearing Hawkmoth's laugh, we realized we had no more time to plan. With Wayzz's help, Master Fu transformed into the turtle's miraculous hero. We all flew over to the Eiffel tower, where Hawkmoth said he would meet us. We ran onto the field that the Eiffel Tower was stationed on, and that's where we saw three villains. We saw Hawkmoth, a woman who looked like a miraculous holder, and, me?

I looked over at Chat in disbelief. Why was there a ladybug up there? If I'm down here, who is that up there? I looked over towards Master Fu, and he gave me an explanation.

"That's not really you Ladybug. That's the result of an amok. The villains up there are the holders of the butterfly miraculous - you already know them as Hawkmoth, and the holder of the peacock miraculous, who none of us have met yet. I feared that the peacock miraculous was in Hawkmoth's possession, and I'm afraid I was right. They have the power to manifest a sentimonster based on the holder's emotions. I'm afraid that this holder wanted to use our greatest weapon against us."
"How do we take them down? We went from thinking it would be 3 vs 1, to finding out it's 3 vs 3." I asked.

"Well, we first have to get the peacock miraculous. Once we have that, we can either destroy the sentimonster and free the amok, or we use them to fight with us, but that's only if we get the object that the sentimonster was created using. Then it's just a matter of getting Hawkmoth." Master Fu told us.

"You make it sound so easy," Chat laughed, "Well if it's that easy, let's do it."

Chat and I looked at each other and nodded before looking to Master Fu for his approval. He gave us the okay, and we all began running towards the Eiffel tower. Chat Noir and I flew to the top of the Eiffel tower, Master Fu being unable to since his miraculous doesn't give any powers to be able to get to high places. We got to the top, only to be met by the Ladybug sentimonster.

I decided against calling for my lucky charm. I only got one, so I decided to save it for Hawkmoth. That meant that I had to use supplies provided by the environment to defeat a version of myself. I would try my best, but how was I expected to do that? I searched my surroundings, but nothing stood out to me. We had to take her down with only ourselves.

Chat was already fighting with her, and I ran over to help him. We were fighting the sentimonster, when I had an idea. I saw a rope hanging by the door to the Eiffel Tower, so I ran and grabbed it. I threw one end to Chat, and I took the other. We wrapped the rope around the sentimonster and tied her up to a pole by the door where the rope was taken from.

One down, two more to go.

Chat and I looked up towards the top of the tower, and I only saw the peacock miraculous holder. They were standing and looking at us, ready for battle. I threw my yo-yo and latched it to the peak of the Eiffel tower, and I flew up to meet the peacock miraculous holder's eyes.

"I am Mayura." She told me, as if I cared.

"Okay, and? I'm Ladybug." I said as I stepped into action.

Mayura and I began a fight. All of it was just pure chaos. I would throw my yo-yo and she would block it, only to come back with her fan. The fight seemed pretty even until Chat came up and joined me. That's when we saw the look of panic in Mayura's eyes. Chat and I began walking forwards towards Mayura, until we heard Hawkmoth and we stopped.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you."

I walked over to the edge of the building and looked down towards the ground, just to see Hawkmoth trying to penetrate some sort of force field that Master Fu had put around himself.

"Don't worry about me, just keep fighting!" I heard Master Fu shout. As much as I didn't want to just ignore him, I knew I had other matters on my hands.

I turned back to see Chat in Mayura's arms, struggling to break free. That's when I lost control of myself.

"Give him back!"

I shouted at Mayura as I threw my yo-yo towards her, landing a successful hit on her arm, allowing Chat to break free from her grasp. Chat could clearly see the look of anger in my eyes, but I didn't care. Mayura tried to hurt him. I'll let a lot of things slide, but that was one of the few things I wouldn't.

I launched myself at Mayura, my yo-yo swinging violently behind me. I threw my yo-yo at her and wrapped it around her, locking her body into place. I pulled back on the yo-yo to bring her towards me, and when she reached me I pushed her to the ground against the wall. As I went to swing a punch, Chat held me back.

"M'lady, she's tied up. It's okay." I took a breath and looked at Mayura. She couldn't move, so I guess we could move onto Hawkmoth. Chat had the same idea as me, and he looked at me before he spoke, "I'll go down and take care of Hawkmoth, you get Mayura's miraculous."

I nodded before he took off towards the action on the ground. I walked over to Mayura and kneeled down in front of her.

"Anything you want to say before I take your miraculous?"

She stayed silent. I grabbed the pin from her chest, and watched as she detransformed. With that swift movement, I watched as the Ladybug sentimonster disappeared. I watched her detransform into someone a little too familiar. She was Nathalie, Gabriel Agreste's assistant. I looked in shock as she looked down to the ground. I left her locked in the elevator at the top of the tower alone, figuring that without her powers she was useless. I flew down to the ground to help Chat fight Hawkmoth, just to be horrified by what I saw.

I saw Chat laying on the ground, facing away, about 10 feet away from where Hawkmoth and Master Fu stood. I had an incredibly difficult choice to make. Either go help Chat, or help Master Fu. My heart brought me to one decision, my head to another. Now, it was just a matter of which one do I listen to?

I didn't have any time to react, so I ran over to Chat. I had to make sure he was okay, and if he was then it would be two of us against Hawkmoth. If I went alone, I'd probably end up in the same situation as Chat, and then we'd both be useless against Hawkmoth. Once I made it to Chat, I ran in front of him and I lifted his head to look at me. Thankfully, he was okay.

I helped Chat to his feet, but by the time we turned to face Hawkmoth, it was too late. Master Fu's shield was almost broken, and we wouldn't make it in time. That's when we heard Master Fu make an announcement.

"I, Master Wang Fu, hereby declare Ladybug the new guardian of the miraculous."
