(I know, Pidge looks amazing in the picture :)

-----

On the other half of the mysterious planet, two colored dots could be seen

The green and blue lions, lying motionless in the snow.

Pidge had just barely begun waking up from the crash. A few scratches here and there.

"What, happened... where are we?" She managed to mumble out, a slight grunt.

"Oh quiznack! LANCE WAKE UP!" She said in a panic, assuming lance is unconscious, after taking a glance out of her lion, to see the blue lion.

Lance only barely replied with a hum before freaking out himself. Both lions were immobile for the time.

'Where are we?'

'Why are we on a mountain?'

'Where's the rest of the team?'

pidge had questioned, not expecting any answers.

"Pidge, I can't contact the team!"

"Let me try, yours might just be broken from the oh so amazing landing" pidge also attempted, only to receive back static.

'I can probably tinker with the comms' Pidge almost thought to herself.

"What if you mess up and it goes beyond repair? We are stranded on a mountain Pidge!" Lance somehow replied back to Pidge's thoughts in distress.

"Did I say that out loud?... scratch that, we have to contact the rest of the te-" Pidge's statement was interrupted by a concerning rumble from below.

The two fell silent, worry in their faces as another rumble created a gaping crack nearby.

"We HAVE to get out of here!"

"Our lions are immobile Lance! Unless we get enough power, we aren't going anywhere!"

"Without the castle, we can't power our lions, we might have to go out on foot. Without causing any more cracks to the mountain" Pidge explains.

Before lance or Pidge could play out the plan, an avalanche decided to crumble below the lions, sending both of them down into a cave nearby.

the cave was just big enough to send both lions plummeting down the icy walls, breaking some chunks off at their descent.

panicked, pidge and Lance try to power up their lions, without much luck before crashing to the bottom.

-----

"...ge... idge... Pidge!" Lance shouted, waking Pidge up.

Pidge had looked up from their second crash sight, seeing the obvious dents in the wall.

"If there weren't any ledges on our way down, we wouldn't have made it.. huh" Pidge explains groggily from the impact.

"I'm coming over to get you, your lion seems to be stuck Pidge" Lance

Pidge watched as Lance silently got out of his lion and walk over. Getting over to the green lion, lance finds his way in to then walk out with Pidge

The two almost stopped in their tracks in sync.

Lance noticed a faint purple glow from the corner of his eye, an alerted Pidge soon notices this glow too.

"You seeing what I'm seeing short stuff?" Lance blurts out trying to crack a joke.

"I'm not short! and yes" pidge replied feeling annoyed with his jokes.

"Something is in here" lance again says while staring into a thick wall of ice.

"Oh really? I would have never known from the glow Lance".

"Well it's obviously been down here a long time, whatever this glow is. We are trapped in a crevasse deep inside the mountain for crying out loud!" Pidge again states annoyed of the cold.

"We should dig it out! It could be some alien tech we could use to contact the others!" Hope and Excitement fill lances eyes.

The two led themselves back to their lions to find anything useful to scrape away at the iced wall. Pidge finds many different parts inide her lion that she used while bored on the castle.

lance on the other hand just found some snacks and shoved them into a pouch.

"You find anything?" lance questioned Pidge.

"Yes, some old scrap I can use to make a tool, you?"

'Nothing useful for digging ice" Lance said raising his arms.

-----

A few doboshes later of small sparks flying, metal hitting each other, and a very concerned lance, pidge finished her contraption.

It resembled a saw and a pickaxe combined.

"Lance..."

"uh.. yeah?"

"Your the man, dig away" Pidge said, handing over the contraption.

Lance stood there, a blank in his mind, until Pidge practically screamed at him to dig.

The glow continued to shine brighter as lance continued to scrape away at the ice until it faded suddenly.

"What's happening to it? Did I do something!?" Lance asks in a panic.

"Just keep digging, we wont know until we reach it!"

As lance continued his work, with pidge amusingly watching his struggle, a white figure starts to appear, along with the glow.

"I see something!" an excited Lance shouts at Pidge.

Digging even faster, Lance eventually reached his hand out to touch something... furry?

"I-I don't think this is a comms device"

A drop of water suddenly hits the ground, startling the two. The water was heating up at a fast pace around the white figure.

Looking back up, Pidge almost screamed as a violet eye was tracking her movements. The... thing? in the ice was staring at the two, unmoving.

Lance dropped Pidge's contraption, making her glare daggers at him, until the creature started moving its way from the ice.

It was humanoid when it stood for a moment, before falling back down to its knees.
