{Hello! You might be wondering what this all is. This is actually an RP I'm in with anubisgirl on the Undertale AUs amino(yes, I'm on Amino). Most of it(due to how we are writing it) is copied directly from our RP. Hope you enjoy!}
Sitting at the counter of a shop called 'Knit happens' was a skeleton lazily looking through one of the many fiber craft magazines that were sold there. It was rather slow that day, of course, many monsters didn't have much need to come into a yarn shop in the middle of the week.
It was one of the reasons error liked it there so much, they had their regulars and it was never too crowded and he could look for new patterns to try out when there was no one there. His eye lights shifted when the bell above the door rang and someone started browsing around, something else caught his eye though, out the front window he could see that someone was selling... art maybe.
He didn't have his glasses on at the moment so he couldn't make out exactly what it was but it looked like it. The black Skeleton didn't think much of it, sometimes people would sell their goods around there, it was known as a good spot to try and get some notice. Error figured that he would move on in a day or two.
-----------------
About a week later the monster was still at it. Error would find himself looking out once and a while, and the other employee, Blue, seemed to have talked to him already so Error had found out that his first hunch was right, he was one of those artists trying to get on their feet. And today seemed to be a rough day, No one was even walking around outside. Given that there was a good chance that it might rain Error could understand why.
Error sighed, "I'm going to kick myself for this later," he said heading to the door "I'm going out for a moment," he told Blue getting an Okay in return. He walked out and crossed the street.
Error was not one that normally went up to someone he didn't know, he didn't like being around crowds and would really like it if he could just go the rest of his life with the few people he DID know and never talk to anyone else.
So he knew he looked nervous putting on his glasses to take a look at the pieces out, something else he had no idea about was Art, paintings always seemed too busy to him for some reason. So he pointed at one after he acted like he was looking at them for a moment.
"Um....h-how much f-for this o-one?" he asked.
If anything he could just give it away as a gift or put it up in the store in the sitting area for when some of the local crochet clubs comes for their meetings.
The small artist looked overjoyed that someone was interested in his art. He walks closer.
"That one is... Um... One second. I seemed to have forgotten!" He laughs.
Walking to the lockbox, he picks up a paper then heads back to Error.
"That one is 15. It's really old by now.." The small artist rubs the back of his skull with a sheepish smile. "I do have cheaper ones. They are smaller and are simple landscapes and still life pieces."
Ink is more than a little embarrassed over his piss poor memory but he wouldn't show that.
Error blinked, forgot, how do you forget how much you marked your own work for. Though he didn't have much room to talk. He didn't exactly have the best memory ether, though he could still remember the prices of what he sold in the shop at least.
"O-oh...That's fine...s-save the n-new ones f-for other c-customers" He said getting his wallet out and pulling the amount out.
Well, actually it was a little more as it seemed all he had was a 20 on hand. That would work he figured, "Y-you can keep the c-change...." He said as he hoped that they didn't end up touching as he held the money out, his phobia could be so bad a simple bump could end up sending him crashing.
"A-are you n-new here...I don't t-think iv s-seen you around" Error asked, he knew that he should try to make small talk and get more social. This seemed like a good excuse, and he can tell Blue that he talked to someone new this month.
The artist looks at the twenty and takes it before removing a five and setting the twenty in its place.
"Kinda? I've been here for a week or so? And anyway, no one's really buying anything. Not that I'm upset about it!" He says. "There is way better art than mine."
The artist once again laughs before holding the five out for Error. "Twenty is too much for it."
Error couldn't say he was too shocked to hear that. Most of the time people didn't understand that it took artists hours to do something. He looked at the paintings again and though he was not an expert he didn't think that they were bad per-say.
"Ever t-think that you m-might be u-undercharging for them. W-wether or not t-there are b-better artists out there...you s-still put work into t-these." Well, he thought so but if the Artist insisted then he would make the change. "A-also y-you m-might want t-to try s-selling online sometime. M-more people w-will see it that way" After all the shop had an online shop and if he was honest that is where a lot of their prophets came from. Error also would stream games on the side that earned some extra money as well.
Though being there a few weeks, that seemed to add up. But Error was still confused as to why he stayed in that spot "Y-you could m-move to an s-spot that has more p-people around. W-why stay put here"
"I always thought that I'm charging fair for it." The artist says. "And I would sell online, but I don't quite understand how to set that all up."
He continues to hold out the five for Error. "As for the spot... I like the scenery! It's so picturesque that I find myself getting inspiration from everything!"
The artist couldn't stop the excited giggle at all the paintings he could make. He lets out a little 'oh' as he realizes something. "I'm Ink, by the way!"
Error finally took the five, having worked up some courage to do so, but how he takes it, almost like Ink's hand would bite him if he went too slow. He raised an optic ridge at not understanding how to set up an online store; it was relatively easy for him to do, honestly.
But maybe not everyone was as good with computers as he was. He wouldn't say that he was an expert or anything, but he knew how to get around on a computer game, alright. "E-Error...." he said, putting his hands in his pockets once the transaction was done. He supposed that simply liking the location was a good enough reason to stay. "T-that's f-fair, I guess....though i-its most l-likely going to rain soon. S-so chances are no one w-will be around today."
He didn't know why he was still there, he could take the painting he bought and leave, and everything would be fine. But maybe he just felt a little bad for Ink; He was trying even if he was a little forgetful, it seemed.
