"Come on...!" Diluc huffed as he tried to free y/n with no luck, tugging on her arm, "Turn back!"

Y/n, still not knowing how, could only cry as Diluc frantically tried to convince her to turn back.

The little boy couldn't quite get y/n... unstuck... so he tried moving to the other side of her only to step on her tail.

Y/n let out a startled little yelp and with a sudden poof, she turned back into a tiny lizard. Diluc wasted no time scooping up the startled lizard and rushing into his room.

"A place to hide... a place to-"

He spotted the closet and went over there, "Aha, this is a good spot." As soon as y/n spotted the closet, she started thrashing and clinging to Diluc's arm.

"Come on, we don't have the time for this...!" Diluc protested as the lizard clung to his arm, tiny tears in her eyes.

The tiny lizard shook her head.

"Please?"

Rapid head shaking.

"Please?"

More head shaking.

Diluc could hear his Father coming up the stairs now and just shoved the lizard into the closet with a, "Sorry...!"

There were shuffling noises within the closet before the little pitters and scratches of y/n beating her lizard feet against the door met Diluc's ears.

"Shhh, just wait a second." he hushed her and the weird lizard girl thing fell silent with quiet whines.

Diluc practically flopped onto his bed, pretending to be asleep just as his Father silently entered the room.

Crepus blinked at the sight of his son snoring away on the bed before entering the room, silently wandering over.

Y/n, having turned back into that weird half dragon half snot nosed brat thing, opened the door to the closet only a little.

She peered out into the room, watching curiously as Crepus tucked Diluc into bed.

Her e/c eyes were round as she observed the two.

Diluc had referred to this man as his Father, right...?

Y/n frowned. Did she have a Father?

The weird lizard girl thing sunk back into the darkness, pondering. Did she?

Y/n was curious about this Father person.

It was a while before Crepus left the room and a couple more minutes before Diluc jumped up and hurried to the closet.

He threw open one of the doors and was greeted by nothing but darkness. No sign of the lizard girl.

"...y/n?"

No reply.

"Y/n!"

It was a second before there was a shriek from the lower level followed by, "THERE'S A LIZARD!!! SOMEONE GET A BROOM!!!"

It took a moment for Diluc to realize.

"No-"

He hurried out of his room and peeked downstairs to see a couple of maids scrambling out of the way for safety while another chased a little lizard with a broom.

That little lizard was y/n.

She was doing a good job of avoiding the maid's attempts at whacking her, squeaking each time the broom came near her.

Diluc was unsure of what to do to help the poor lizard creature and winced when she finally got whacked with the broom.

Y/n practically flew across the room before landing on top of a bookshelf with a little squeak, dazed.

Her world was spinning and the spot where she'd gotten hit tickled a little, but she didn't feel too bad.

"Y/n...!" Diluc whisper-shouted and y/n perked up, spotting him at the top of the stairs.

Y/n had only left the closet because she was curious about Diluc's Father. He seemed like a super nice person and she wanted him to be her friend.

The lizard's e/c eyes flicked to the room where she'd seen the man disappear. "..." y/n wanted to go.

But Diluc was calling her.

...

Meh, she was a dragon.

She could do whatever tf she wanted.

Diluc held his breath as y/n hopped off the bookshelf and made a run for his Father's office, the maid with the broom chasing after her.

Y/n's tail got stepped on, preventing her from going any further and Diluc covered his mouth with a tiny gasp.

"How did this lizard get in here?" demanded the maid who had stepped on y/n's tail. "Ugh, filthy little thing!"

The tiny lizard didn't fight back as she was lifted up by the tail so her and the maid were at eye-level.

She squirmed a little so she was facing the woman before letting out a little indignant squeak.

She opened her tiny mouth and out came a great plume of fire, right into the maid's face.

The maid shrieked, dropping the lizard who scrambled to her feet and hurried on over to the door where Diluc's Father's office was located.

She bumped into the door and it was then that she realized she wouldn't be able to open the door on her own.

She considered shifting but, before she could do so, the door opened. The tiny lizard plopped on her butt and stared up at Crepus with curious e/c eyes.

She let out a squeak, catching the man's attention. Crepus looked down at the lizard, a surprised expression on his face.

Diluc held his breath.

The maids were silent.

Y/n's tail was flicking from side to side and she let out a squeak as if greeting him, clearly happy to see him.

Crepus only smiled and lifted up the tiny lizard, much to her delight. His hold was gentle, careful.

"Well hello there." he greeted gently with a kind look, "What are you doing in here little one?"
