"Diluc...?"

"Hm?"

Kaeya stared warily at y/n as she watched the two boys with round eyes.

"Why... is she staring like that?" Kaeya questioned hesitantly, uneasy due to y/n's unblinking stare.

"Oh?" Diluc gave y/n a curious look then a friendly smile, "Y/n, come over here with us-"

She darted away.

Both boys were silent and exchanged equally puzzled looks as they heard y/n scamper off and run into a room.

"Is she always like this?" Kaeya asked.

"No, not really..." Diluc murmured.

In Crepus's office, y/n had hopped into the chair across from the man with a miserable expression.

"Did not work! He got scared!" y/n complained, pouting a little as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Did you stare?" Crepus questioned.

"Mmm... maybe..." y/n mumbled and the crimson haired man chuckled, amused by her behavior.

"That may be why he got scared." the man told her, "Maybe try talking to him. All you've done is watch from afar."

Y/n frowned, "But... y/n talks strange..."

"Hm?"

"Y/n talks strange. Humans speak better." y/n mumbled, "What if Kaeya won't be y/n's friend because she talks strange?"

"Oh... so that's it, huh?" Crepus reached out and ruffled y/n's hair, "Don't worry, your way of speaking is perfectly fine, y/n. There's no need to be insecure about it."

"What if Kaeya won't like y/n?"

Crepus smiled, "I'm sure he will. He's just a little frightened of you, that's all. Talk to him a little bit, that will help."

"Mm... 'kay!" y/n exclaimed, e/c eyes lighting up, "Thank you, Mister Crepe!"

"No problem." he replied with a warm smile, "Run along now, I've got some work to do, Little Miss Y/n."

"Oh! :o Kay!"

And with that, y/n hurried away.

She was in such a hurry that when exiting the room, she almost slammed the door on her tail.

Kaeya and Diluc watched warily as y/n ran past them, jumping through the window and shattering the glass.

There was shouting from the maids as they ordered the little dragon girl to come back but she didn't bother listening.

Thirty minutes later...

"Kaeya!" y/n exclaimed, skidding to a halt beside the frightened boy and presenting some calla lilies to him with sparkling eyes.
