'What a scary dream...'

'So very scary. I don't wanna have it again.'

"Hey! Y/n! You're spacing out again!"

The dragon girl jerked in surprise and gave Kaeya a sheepish little smile.

"Ahaha... sorry. I didn't sleep too well last night." y/n murmured, looking weary, "I had a bad dream."

"Oh? What'd you dream about?" Kaeya asked with a curious look in his eyes.

Y/n squinted, "Ah, well, it's kinda getting all blurry and hard to remember. But I do remember this awful noise."

"A noise???"

Y/n nodded, "Mhm! Mhm! It was a shrill, high pitched screeching noise. The kind you hear when gates are lifting. It made was very irritating and it made me kinda want to obliterate it off the face of Teyvat."

Kaeya recoiled a little, "Woah."

"Right???" y/n looked like she wanted to cry, "I'm not used to thinking such violent things. What if something is wrong with me?"

"Nah, it's perfectly normal. Even if you're usually so forgiving, it's only natural that you'll be annoyed by something." Kaeya assured her with a smile, rubbing the top of her head, "That just proves you have emotions! Everyone gets annoyed sometimes!"

There was a crash from downstairs and the duo peered down into the living room, finding a cackling Lorelei standing triumphantly upon a defeated Crepus while holding up a velvet colored book.

"MWAHAHAAA!!! I HAVE FOUND THE BABY PICTURES!" she declared then called, "Oh birthday boy! Guess who I found baby pictures of?"

Diluc darted out of his room, "Who?"

"This man right here!" Lorelei chimed, pointing to the red faced Crepus as she opened up the book, "Awww, look at that chubby face~!"

"Lorelei...!"

"Shh, calm down Master Crepus. You'll raise your blood pressure, y'know?" Lorelei shushed him, giivng his head a quick pat before smiling up at the three tater tots she'd helped raise, "Come on down, you three! I made breakfast!"

Breakfast, as usually, was lovely.

Lovely as in chaotic.

Crepus often had to be dragged to the table since he didn't know when to stop working and to start eating.

Lorelei once threw a stack of papers into the fireplace to get him to eat.

He acted upset at first but he would kinda just pout like a kid proven wrong as he happily enjoyed the maid's cooking.

Today, he happily ate the food without complaint which came as a surprise to Lorelei.

So much so that she hid in the corner of the kitchen, pointing a kitchen knife at a very confused Crepus as though he were an aggressive wild animal.

Y/n took her sweet time to enjoy her food and was surprised when Diluc finished early and darted away, dragging a dismayed Kaeya along with him.
