Crowds cheering and piano music loudly playing inside the room. It was full of people in dresses and suits.
"Don't disappoint me, Chaeyoung." The man mumbled as he looked away from his daughter who was wearing a ballet dress.
It was a ballet competition between the rich and respected people's kids. In short, the Nobles.
"Yes, Daddy." Chaeyoung replied, looking down at her hands as it was trembling really hard.
This was her first time going on a stage as she was a shy kid and doesn't come in contact with people if it isn't needed.
Chaeyoung kept her cool and suppressed her anxiety. She must make her parents proud.
"And now, the daughter of the Son Family, let's all welcome, Lady Son Chaeyoung!" The emcee announced and the crowd began to applaud.
"Inhale..."
"Exhale..."
The girl then went in front of the stage, trying to be as confident as possible.
"Please don't mess up..." She said to herself.
The piano music then began and the girl started to dance gracefully. The performance was going smoothly. People are in awe of how graceful Chaeyoung's movements are that kept their eyes glued to her.
As the girl was gaining her confidence because of the crowd's attention, she suddenly felt something wrong on her feet.
She looked down and her shoes were damaged.
Chaeyoung looked at her side, her enemy, daughter of the Jeon Family, Somi was laughing at her.
"Calm down..." She convinced herself.
"Daddy and Mommy have high hopes for you. You should not cry, Chaeyoung..." She added as she continued to dance as her feet were hurting because of the shoes.
Chaeyoung closed her eyes and began to dance like she always does.
She never had the plan to do all of this but because of the pressure that her parents give... Chaeyoung was forced to become like this.
"I can't do this anymore..." The girl mumbled as she was only halfway through her performance.
She then stopped and looked at her parents first. The piano music also stopped playing. Everyone was looking at her, confused.
"I'm sorry, Mommy... Daddy..." The girl cried as she ran away from everyone.
"Chaeyoung!" Even without looking, Chaeyoung can feel that her Daddy stood up out of anger.
"I'm... Really sorry..." She mumbled and continued to run.
"Come back here, Chaeyoung!" The man shouted.
But Chaeyoung never even looked back. She was still a kid but is facing all of this.
"I'm done..." She then continued to cry.
Not knowing where she is anymore, with her clothes getting stained of mud because of running at the back of the building, she arrived at a park.
It was empty as the rain had stopped earlier. Chaeyoung then sat down in one of the swings, crying because she knew that her father would scold her and say mean things to her.
