Chaeyoung was a beautiful young maiden with long black silky hair and with a personality that's as beautiful as her face.
She was near to being perfect and was loved by everyone except those girls who hated her for being like that. And also, most of the boys they liked, liked Chaeyoung. They were envious of her.
But, one thing that's a bit weird for Chaeyoung is that she isn't interested in dresses, make ups and things that the girls want. Instead, she has always wanted to go on an adventure and became an adventurer.
Their world was a place where there was magic. But, unfortunately for Chaeyoung, she wasn't able to have those cause she was born mortal—human.
The only thing she could do was to fight using a sword. Chaeyoung's father was a royal guard respected by everyone. That's why, when she turned 10, Chaeyoung convinced her father to teach her how to fight.
Chaeyoung doesn't have a mother figure. Her mother died while giving birth to her and her father didn't remarry which made Chaeyoung unable to love those girly things.
Chaeyoung also didn't know what her mom looked like or anything about her since her father didn't tell her anything about the woman.
Even though Chaeyoung wanted to know something about her mom, she respected her father's decision thinking that her father doesn't wanna remember all of the pain from the past.
One time, when her father went home, he seemed extremely problematic and Chaeyoung can feel that.
"Father, how's the work in the forest? Is everything okay?" Chaeyoung asked after she prepared some supper and put it on the table.
"No, it didn't work well. The king wanted to marry the guardian spirit that's been with the forest after he took a glimpse of that magical creature. He's so obsessed with her that he even made us all go out and search for her but we found nothing." Chaeyoung's father sighed as he ate the food that Chaeyoung prepared for him.
Chaeyoung also joined his father.
"Are they even real?" Chaeyoung chucked and began to eat.
"I don't know either. Maybe the king was just daydreaming." Her father laughed.
"He even said that she has extraordinary beauty. Long blonde hair and porcelain white skin with a flower crown on her head. He wasn't able to see her face well but he said that he can tell that the woman has a beauty that's out of this world."
"Oh, really? Can I go with you tomorrow father?" Chaeyoung was curious about the woman... She wants to know what she looks like or if the girl is real or not.
"I want to practice my skills and besides, this will serve as my training when I become an adventurer." She added and her father looked at her with an unexplainable expression.
