Five Years Later:
My eyes shined with happiness. I looked over at my wife and her reflection mirrored mine. Bouncing on my knee was little baby Eutu. Nombu walked in the door with a fancy new toy. "Uncy Nom! Is that for me?" he screeched leaping out of my lap. "Why yes it is, but according to the glare I just got from your mother, we should go outside to play with it." he chuckled in reply. Eutu squealed and ran out the door after Nombu. Only a few seconds later he wobbled back in.
"I just wanted to say I love you." he said wrapping his chubby lilac arms around my legs and then his mothers before quickly returning to go back to his toy.
Paia walked over to me and rested her chin on my shoulder. As we watched him run around playing outside she gave me a quick peck on the cheek and said, "We sure did good, huh Nico?"
