Song: Derivakat- I Need You

-25-

It was nearly midnight. The starry night sky was above them and scents of the end of festival scattered on the streets. Less people are roaming in the streets now, mostly they carry crates filled with used decorations or accessories. Shops and entertaining facilities are closing by, and late night activities like the casino and stages are the main spotlight.

Clay and George walked on their way home in the sidewalk. With night lights lighting the brick streets and the crescent moon pasted in the sky. Clouds reflected the moonshine and waves from canals was the noise that was soothing on the ears.

"Are you sure you never met Karl in the casino?" Clay started to ask, still questioning what just kind of confusion that happened today. Not just once but twice.

"I said I didn't," George looked behind, his hands on his pockets. "I got lost looking for the casino's restroom, but I never noticed Schlatt,"

"Are you sure, I don't want this kind of joke," Clay responds with a serious face.

"I said I didn't," George starts to get annoyed. "Why do you keep asking?"

"Cause I saw you and Karl entering from the entrance of the casino, which is impossible because you walked in the different direction," Clay said in an astonishing tone.

"That's really impossible, I only saw Schlatt in the gambling hall," George continued to walk, but his one brow was raised. "Are you sure it is me? Maybe it was a doppleganger?"

"No," Clay said it calmly this time. "I have even talked to him. He was completely you! He have his looks, his height, his voice, everything!"

"Maybe he was a doppleganger?"

"What's a doppleganger?"

George sighed. "Like a clone, or a fake version of myself?"

Clay exhaled a breathy laugh. "Why did you learn how to clone yourself?"

"No, you idiot,"  George sassed.

Clay was only preserved in his own silence. On their way home, he could only look at the stars, and daydreaming who and where that George came from. What is he trying to say? Is that George the same as what George he have for now? Why did he say sorry?

He had done nothing wrong right? But what if one day he will...

No he only said, that he had some task to do, and he does that so they can have eternal love...

But why does he need to do that? Clay was fully satisfied, cared and loved for what George is doing at him right now... He doesnt need such thing as eternal love...

He said Clay was too young to understand...

And what he just need to do is love him whenever he was...

And that is what Clay got to do.

"Clay?" George looked back and he noticed Clay slowly walking, staring at the sky. "What's wrong?"

Clay ran in order to catch up. "There's also one thing the George I met told me,"

"Oh what is it?"

"He says sorry," Clay looked directly at George.

George also stared. "For what?"

"For making me suffer..."
