My Elf Friend

Renly's Pov
When I was just a little elf, I liked to go into the nearby human village, I've always found humans quite interesting, though my mother didn't like it, I couldn't help but get curious, sometimes I would notice a little boy with curly black hair, he seemed to be the most interesting, because like me he has natural magic, he didn't kill to get it, unlike other greedy humans. Today I was sitting in a tree near a school here, the man rang a bell in his hand and out came the little humans, I watched all of them run around excitedly, all boys, why don't any girls come here? In my home the female elves get treated with just as much respect as male elves do, gender/sex doesn't really matter to us. I noticed that boy with black hair walked towards the tree, he then just stood under it looking down at a book "hmm...." he mumbled, I leaned forward a bit to get a better look at what he was reading, I almost fell but wrapped my legs around the branch, the boy jumped as I ended up hanging upside down in front of him, I was scared too but the more I looked at him the more curious I got about humans, I touched his ears, why aren't they pointy like elves? Is their aging different? Do they lay eggs? (Renly- I can't- I can't do this🤣) the boy also seemed quite curious, he then looked around "quickly hide back in the tree, I'll meet you in the tree" he instructed, I nodded and got back on the branch properly, like he said he would, he climbed into the tree, he stared at me for a moment, he then scooted closer to me and lifted his hands "can I touch your ears?" He asked, I nodded happily, he gently touch the tip of my ears "why are elf ears so long? And why do you have that vine tattoo?" He asked, I giggled "I'm not really sure why we have long pointy ears but I have the vine tattoo because I'm a tree elf" I answered, I then titled my head curiously "do humans lay eggs?" I asked, the boy thought for a moment "I don't know..... Mother and Father won't tell me how baby's are made" he shrugged "do elves lay eggs?" He asked, I shook my head "no elf baby's come out of our Mother's" I answered, he seemed shocked "how does that happen?" He asked, I shrugged "Mummy won't tell me" I answered. The boy opened his book and started drawing, I tried to see what he was drawing but he pulled it out of my sight "no peaking" he demanded, I pouted "fine" I mumbled, I then realised that I didn't get a name from him "hey what's your name?" I asked, he looked at me "Aiko" he answered, I smiled "I'm Renly!" I cheered, he smiled at me and continued to draw "it's nice to meet you Renly" we both laughed together.

From that day on Aiko and I would meet in that tree everyday, eventually he showed me that he had drawn me that day, this continued from when we were 6 to when we were 12, I had always been great at sneaking off here without my Mum knowing. Today I was waiting in the tree for Aiko when I heard a bunch of yelling children from below, I looked down and there were kids looking up at me, I waved "hello" I said happily, Aiko is nice, surely other human children must be nice as well. I was wrong, the kids started throwing rocks at me to get me to fall from the tree, I tried shielding myself with my arms but that just hurt more, I eventually fell from the tree and onto the ground, I looked up and saw the children, they only threw more rocks at me, I curled up into a little ball "please leave me alone!" I yelled "Renly!" I heard Aiko yell, a big rock hit me in the head knocking me out.

I slowly opened my eyes to see my Mum "Mum? What happened?" I asked, I felt like me but.... different, she smiled and pulled me into a hug "it's ok.... nobody will ever be able to kill you again" she whispered, I was confused "w-what?" I asked, she pulled away and held my cheeks "I promise I will protect you from all harm" she whispered, I smiled "ok..." I looked around "w-what happened to Aiko?" I asked, she stood up and wlaked to the door, she opened it and Aiko ran in, he hugged me "I'm so glad your ok Renly!" He yelled, I hugged him back while staring at my mother, she smiled at me, it didn't seem like her though, her smile looked dark but covered in sweetness, I looked away with a very quiet whimper.

Time Skip
I found out that those kids throwing rocks at me had almost killed me but apparently my Mum healed me, tree elves don't normally do healing magic.... I was supposed to be asleep and I was sharing a bed with Aiko since he was kicked out of his village for helping me, he was asleep on my futon on the floor, I was sitting up, I looked at my Mum's room, I stood up and walked towards it, I moved the giant leaf out of the way and went inside, she was shaking a looking down, I walked towards her "Mum?" I asked, she turned her head so quickly I thought her neck would snap, when I looked into her eyes, I noticed they were red, I stepped back "m-Mum? Are y-you ok?" I asked, she titled her head and put a sinister smile on her face "I'm perfectly fine dear" she answered, this isn't my Mum.... she shook her head and her eyes went back to normal, she looked at me "o-oh Renly dear, what's wrong?" She asked, I shakily shook my head "n-nothing, I'm going back to bed" I answered, she didn't seem convinced but ignored it "oh alright Renly, go to bed" she smiled sweetly. I went back to bed.

Aiko's Pov
"Damn it!" Kirito yelled as he pushed all the paper, maps and books off his desk, I just stood there watching him, I understand why he's so angry, I mean I'm angry too. I sighed and walked over to Kirito "we need to concentrate on finding them and saving them, so let's think of something ok?" I asked, he thought for a moment "what are we supposed to do? We don't have a trace on either of them and the other ship is long gone" he sat down "I can't even imagine what is happening to Eugeo or Renly right now....." he mumbled, I sat on the desk "I get it...." I mumbled, then I remembered something "but she isn't going to let anybody but her hurt her nemesis or her-.... nevermind" I stood up and walked over to where I had put my staff, I picked it up "I think this calls for desperate measures" I mumbled, Kirito seemed confused.

Renly's Pov
I slowly opened my eyes, I didn't know where I was, I could see people standing above me wearing doctors masks "interesting, he seems to heal slowly but no matter what we do he can't be killed, one said, I felt a sharp pain in my stomach, like a knife cutting me open, it very well may have been, but I couldn't move my head to look, there was a rope keeping my head, arms, legs and waist down, there was also something around my mouth making sure I couldn't talk and my screams weren't as loud. I screamed in pain but I could barely hear it myself, the doctors noticed and just laughed "have you ever heard of an elf that can heal itself?" They asked a fellow doctor, I teared up, I knew why I was healing and I hated it "no. None of the tree elves can heal themselves without a spell" another answered, shut up, shut up. I could still feel them opening up my stomach and exploring it with their sharp needles and knife's, I cried and kept trying to scream, it hurts so much.... help.... please help me "w-why are you doing this?" I could hear a voice stutter, I recognised it, it was Eugeo, I caught a glimpse of him from the corner of my eye, he looked like he was struggling on a chair so I assumed he was tied up as well.

Eugeo's Pov
"Eugeo.... you should not have been friends with an elf in the first place so now you get watch them suffer" my Father whispered in my ear, I looked down as tears fell down my cheeks, Father forced me to look back at Renly "s-stop it..." I sobbed, why would he go this low? He's a psychopath. I need to stop this, somehow "Renly.... I'm so sorry" I sobbed, Father let me go, he stood in front of me and then slapped me "don't apologise to this creature!" He yelled, I looked up at him again "you can't control me forever.... I won't let you" I mumbled, he clenched his fists "YOU BRAT!!!" He yelled kicking my chair against the wall, I hit my head "after everything I have done for you, I raised you, I did everything I could to make you a man like me but none of it was good enough was it?! You still ended up being a faggot!!!" He yelled, I couldn't do anything but listen, all of his words hit me like a crushing bolder, I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out, I just stayed quiet "you need to obey me.... I am the adult here, you are just the pathetic and confused child" he continued, I'm not pathetic and I'm not confused....."I'm sure that you will see things from my point of view soon.... with a few visits from Father Matthew" my eyes widened, I started shaking again "oh you remember that name do you?" He asked, I looked up at him, he didn't even show me a bit of sympathy, what kind of Father is he? I looked over at Renly who was still screaming and crying, then somebody walked into the room, he first walked over to Renly "elves are so open to different types of love and they gather weapons against us, luckily we have even better weapons now..... tell me what is it like knowing your entire race is gone" the man removed the cloth from Renly's mouth, Renly was just gasping for air for a moment "don't you think it says something..... that your so called God gave us natural magic..... and not you humans?" He asked laughing slightly, the man put the cloth back over Renly's mouth "silence" he whispered, he then looked at me, I just stared at him, constantly panicking, my heart rate picked up, he stared at me with a sickeningly sweet smile "oh poor boy..... it seems I did not erase the gayness from you the first time did I?" He asked, I struggled to get out of the ropes, there was one around my chest, one around my hands and one around my legs "Father Matthew, do whatever you need to" my Father said, Father Mattew smiled at him "of course" he untied the rope around my hands and lifted my wrist, the one that the cross was on, his got a knife out of his pocket, I tried to get my wrist away but my father grabbed my arm to keep me there, as the knife approached my skin, my heartbeat sped up more and more, I screamed and a bright light filled the room.

Renly's Pov
I closed my eyes as the bright light filled the room, it disappeared and all I could hear was people panicking "where did he go? What was that?" Somebody asked, I knew what it was, the Matthew guy removed the cloth from my mouth again "what was that?" He asked, I shrugged "I dunno" I felt a knife in my arm, I flinched "what was that?" He asked again, I shook my head "I don't know" I answered "search the ship he can't have gone far" Orick demanded. They all left me alone laying there on a table with my stomach open, of course it wouldn't kill me but it'll hurt like a bitch while it's healing. Damn it....
