Taiyo's Pov
I walked to the door to Renly's cabin and knocked on the door, Aiko opened the door and looked at me "what do you want?" He asked, I smiled "is Renly awake? I need to talk to him" I tried to look inside, Aiko blocked my view "about what?" I crossed my arms and stared at him in disappointment "it's none of your business nosy" I shoved past Aiko and went into the room, Renly was sitting up in the bed, he looked confused and he was holding his neck, I sat next to him. Renly looked at me "oh... Taiyo" he looked back down, I smiled gently "if you don't mind, I need to talk to you about something, would you come with me?" I asked, he nodded "yeah, sure" I opened a portal to the library, Aiko stared at us as I helped Renly stand up "just Renly, this is a private matter" Renly and I walked through the portal, I closed it behind me, then I got rid of the illusion and gave Renly a mirror "look at your neck" he gave me a confused look then looked in the mirror, he dropped it but I caught it before it smashed "you ok?" I asked, he looked terrified, I put the mirror down on a table and gently grabbed his hands "hey.... what's wrong? Do you know what's happening to you?" He shook his head "not exactly but.... I have an idea... the same thing happened to my Mum before she.... you know" I nodded "right.... listen I've been looking through books to find a way to destroy the darkness without killing the host, I will do anything to help you ok?" I rubbed Renly's shoulder, he looked at me "thankyou.... but if there isn't another way-" "there will be another way Renly-" he pushed me away "but if there isn't I-... I need you to promise that if I'm too far gone that you'll.... I want you to kill me... if I end up like my mother... I want you to kill me when you get the chance.... my weakness... the one thing that can kill me is..."" he leaned closer and whispered it in my ear, I stuttered for words, kill Renly? I couldn't do that, Renly stared at me "Taiyo please.... I'd rather die than live like that.... please" he grabbed my hands, I stared at him for a moment, then I nodded "I will kill you if your too far gone... I promise on the Styx" he smiled slightly and then tried to change the subject "by the way, this place is really interesting, does it really have every book in the universe?" He asked, I pulled myself together, wiping away the tears that threatened to spill and nodded proudly "yeah, everything's that's ever been written actually, secret love notes, people doodling random words and letters onto papers, just everything" I grabbed Renly's hand and dragged him to one section of the library, I climbed up a ladder "I'm only just learning where everything is, but I've memorised the placement of one book, it's my favourite" I picked the book up and climbed down the ladder, I put the book in Renly's hands "a fun read" I smiled brightly, he looked at the title "The Forbidden Fruit" he looked back at me "what's it about?" "Well, it's about two men falling in love, a Forbidden Love, and the writer added their fated rivalry too, one has to destroy the other, or the world ends, they can never be together" I explained, Renly sucked in a breath "that sounds so tragic...." I looked down "it is.... but I like tragedy stories.... they kind of remind me of what I'm going through.... this one I relate with the most because it's about two men" Renly tilted his head in confusion, he moved closer to me "your in love with someone you can't be with?" He asked, I stared at him, he must have had some kind of hypnotising magic because I was mesmerised in his eyes, I forced myself to look away "um.... you should probably get back to the ship, I'm sure Aiko will be worried" I opened a portal, Renly hesitated "you can always talk to me you know.... you helped me out.... it's only fair that I help you" I nodded "yeah of course, go on" he went through the portal and I closed it behind him. I stood there for a moment, completely still and alone with my thoughts, I'm so stupid, I sat down in the spot not even bothering to find a chair, I hid my face in my knees and let myself cry, I don't want to kill him, not Renly, why did it have to be Renly? Why did that stupid book choose me? Why couldn't we all just be happy? I guess that's not possible for the Guardian.

Cardinal's Pov
I was walking around the library, it was very silent, Taiyo must have been out, but no, I walked around a corner and found him asleep, he was leaning on a pile of books on the ground, snoring slightly, I noticed tear stains on his cheeks. Sighing I lifted my staff, Taiyo and I both teleported to his room, he was on his bed, I cover him with the blanket and let him rest. The poor child has been suffering for years, he deserves a rest. I was about to walk away before I heard a choking noise.
