Evelyn King always knew there was something wrong with her, but she didn't know how deep-rooted the problem was until it was too late.
An unfortunate outburst of her powers at 11 led her to be heavily surveilled for years by the cryptic organisation, S.H.I.E.L.D. Even under their scrutinizing gaze, she was able to live a fairly normal life, until at 18 the agency was revealed to be infiltrated by Hydra. Soon after it got taken down by the one and only Captain America, leaking her file all over the internet for everyone to see.
After roughly 3 years of being on the run from multiple organisations with questionable motives, she is finally caught and given an ultimatum by the supposed ringleaders of a famous team, Captain America and the Genius Billionaire Playboy Philanthropist himself, Iron Man, to join The Avengers and let them help her deal with her unique abilities, or live a life of solitude on The Raft.
However, what The Avengers failed to tell her was that she wasn't the only new one in town. Join Evie as she tries to figure out why her and the Winter Soldier seem to be unable to stay away from each other's throats...

Hi Hello, this is my first story so if you see any spelling errors or mistakes please don't hesitate to let me know, (I know how annoying it can get to read something with numerous typos lol) also I love reading comments so don't hesitate to bully the characters, I find it hilarious!
I am from the UK and we do spell things ~slightly~ differently so keep that in mind! Anyways, this story is going to involve swearing, violence/fighting and alcohol usage so this is your warning if it triggers you. (There will probably be smut scenes but I'll let you know for definite when I finally decide lmao)
This story is set before Civil War, so all films leading up to it have happened; I won't be following the film's storyline so it won't include any scenes or dialogue from them (as of right now). I'm also still debating whether to include Peter Parker in this because he's such an adorable character but it may be too many people to write about at once, so, please leave a comment with your vote on this :)
Also, I recommend reading the prologue as it gives a bit of backstory to her powers, but you don't have to read it. (If you don't read it you're either fucking weird or was forced to read the prologue Of Mice And Men and that's scarred you ever since).
My character Evie is 21 and I imagined Bucky as being mid/late 20's, so their age gap isn't too weird (I hope). Evie is my OC, but everyone else obviously belongs to marvel or whatever.
ALSO, I've described Evie's eye colour as black and the image below is how I imagined it to be because I honestly don't know if I specified that well what they looked like sooooo yeah :)
