The next day, Ariana was heading to the Kujo bros. home, carrying a bag of groceries. She went to the front door, and pushed the button on the intercom. “Who is it~?” Hyosuke asked in an attempted girly voice. “I’m home. Cut it out.” Ariana said. “I’m just messing with you! The door is unlocked, so come in!” Hyosuke said.

She went into the house, and set the bag of groceries on the table. The cat, Hanasaki, rub herself against Ariana’s legs.  “Hi Hanasaki.” Ariana said. “Weird saying my name…” Ariana thought. “Wow… I didn’t think she liked anyone besides my brother.” Hyosuke said. “Wow…” Ariana said sarcastically. The cat gave out a soft meow, staring at the bag of groceries. “Oh? You want that? You must be hungry.” Ariana asked. “Aw man! I totally forgot to feed her this morning! Sorry~” Hyosuke said and began to pour food in the bowl. “Terrible…” Ariana mumbled. “Hanasaki, come here!” Hyosuke said clicking his tongue. Hanasaki ignored Hyosuke, and continued to rub around Ariana’s legs, purring. “Again..?.” Hyosuke asked carrying the cat food, and bringing it over. “Look. It’s salmon flavor. Your favorite.” Hyosuke said getting some food, and putting some in his hand. The cat ignored him again. “Dang… Rejected.” Ariana said. “Maybe girls with the name Hanasaki just doesn’t like me.” Hyosuke said. “Let me do it.” Ariana said and got some cat food, and put some in her hand. “Come here, Hanasaki. It’s good.” Ariana said. The cat sniffed the food, and began to eat it. “Good girl.” Ariana praised. The cat meowed in response. “Aww… That’s too cute.” Ariana said. Hyosuke clicked his tongue. “I want to do it now.” Hyosuke said. “Well ok, go for it.” Ariana said. Still having food in his hand, he offered it once more. “Look… It’s yummy.” Hyosuke said.

The cat turns away coldly, and continued to eat from Ariana’s hand. “Seriously?” Hyosuke asked. “I should tell you that cats don’t like teasers.” Ariana said. “Me? Tease? Why I never do such a thing~” Hyosuke said teasingly. “You’re doing it right now!” Ariana said. “That’s just how I show affection.” Hyosuke said. “Affection my ass…” Ariana quietly mumbled. “You just remind me of someone, and it’s Hanasaki.” Hyosuke said. “I do?” Ariana asked. “Yeah, because in reality you’re into me, but you act all cold and uninterested. Just alike.” Hyosuke said. She began to laugh. “That’s funny, but no you’re completely wrong about that!” Ariana said. “So you do like me?” Hyosuke asked. “God damn it Hyosuke!” Ariana exclaimed. “What’s wrong? You’re face is all red. As you know, my brother isn’t here.” Hyosuke said getting closer. “Which mean it’s just us. Alone. Together.”

She was slowly backing away. “I know what you’re trying to do, and my answer is no.” Ariana said. “Come on~ I know you want to do something.” Hyosuke said. “Huh… Two can play at this game.” Ariana said. “You’re right… I do, is that so wrong of me?” Ariana asked in a flirtatious voice. He was speechless. “Beat him in his own game! Ha!” Ariana thought. He got closer to her. “What the hell..?” Ariana mouthed. “I haven’t met anyone I was this serious about in a long time, but you won’t take me seriously. It’s kind of sad actually.” Hyosuke said. “God damn it Hyosuke!” Ariana thought. “Maybe if we hung out more, you’ll start liking me?” Hyosuke asked. “Uh…” Ariana said but was interrupted when he puts his hand on her chin and lifts it up. “Help me…” Ariana whispered.

Suddenly, the cat scratches Hyosuke. “Ow!” He shouted. “Oh thank god!” Ariana said. “Just when things were getting interesting…” Hyosuke said. “Thank you so much, Hanasaki. You saved my behind!” Ariana said. “The mood’s gone, so I don’t feel like teasing you anymore.” Hyosuke said and walked away. She followed behind him. “Hyosuke, wait. I’m sorry.” Ariana said.

She didn’t expect him to grin. “Oh, don’t worry. I’m not mad. I was just getting lunch ready. Do you want some?” Hyosuke asked “About that…” Ariana said going to the bag of groceries on the table. “You said the other day that you didn’t have the time to go grocery shopping, so I got groceries for you. It’s like a thank you gift for letting me stay here for a while. I can make something.” Ariana said. “Really? That’s great! I get to try your cooking!” Hyosuke said excitedly. “I’m glad you’re happy about all of this.” Ariana said. “I haven’t eaten a home cooked meal in a long time. What cha gonna make?” Hyosuke asked. “How about an omelet?” Ariana asked. “Ooooh! I love omelets! Can you put a face on it with ketchup? Please?” Hyosuke asked. “I could try…” Ariana said.
