Chapter 10: HyosAna

        Hyosuke’s dad unlocks the door to the storehouse. “Come in.” He said. They all went in, and immediately, they sighed in awe. “This is amazing!” Hiro said. “Excuse me, but the Kujo family descendants are the treasure guardians for the Tokugawa family?” Riki asked. Hyosuke’s dad nodded. “The Tokugawas apparently said that we weren’t simply to save it, but to reserve it in case anything happened to Edo, which is now Tokyo.” She said. “So all of these are the Tokugawa’s treasure chests?” Hiro asked. She nodded. “Why the basement? Wouldn’t a bank be a better place to keep this stuff safe?” Atsumu asked. “There’s an underground passage here with water vains and caves. The water protects the treasure from intruders, and fluctuates the temperature.” He said. “The water drains every 10 years, but I can feel the air circulating.” Riki said. “It’s those vents.” Ariana pointed out. “Ariana, this painting…” Hiro said. “That’s the painting we kept for your great-grandfather.” She said. The painting was a little girl smiling in a field of flowers. “Don’t you think she looks like you?” Hiro asked. “Oh yeah…” Ariana said observing the painting. “What’s this?” Hyosuke asked taking out a videotape in a paper that was wrapped around the painting, and was title ‘With Ariana’ “Why don’t we all watch it together?” Hyosuke asked.

         They went out of the basement, and went into the house in the living room to watch the video. There was a little girl picking flowers. “You were so cute, what happened?” Hyosuke asked teasingly. “I became beautiful, that’s what happened.” Ariana said. “That’s my Ariana!” Hiro said. “What?!” Takuto and Hyosuke exclaimed together. “Taquito and- Hold on, I’m trying to think of a nickname for you… I know! Hyoyo! So… Taquito and Hyoyo, you two together are team hacker!” Ariana said. “I’m a security specialist, you know that. I don’t want to be put in the same category as the tsundere.” Hyosuke said.  “Watch your mouth, idiot! As you know, I’ve broke into tons of your security systems. Now, you have more work to do.” Takuto smirked. “Excuse me?!” Hyosuke exclaimed. “Calm down, you two.” Atsumu said. They didn’t listen, and continued to argue. “I will knock your block off!” Takuto yelled. “Just try, king of the tsundere!” Hyosuke yelled back. “Enough! If you don’t want to watch the video, go to another room.” Taiga exclaimed. They both stopped instantly. “Oh my god…” Ariana mumbled.

         The end of the video came, and the message at the end read, ‘To the Kujos, I wish to express my respect for what your family does for people and for the world. I would like to donate one of my works, and if something happened to the region and money is needed, don’t hesitate to sell it. In exchange, I ask one thing. If you’re watching this video when I’m gone, please give it to my great-grandaughter. My greatest treasure of all. Thank you.’ And the screen went black. “Grandpa…” Ariana said. “His most precious treasure… Is you, Ariana.” Hyosuke says sweetly.

        He found his way to her hand, and he held it. “Ugh! I’m out!” Takuto said and left the room. “Taquito!” Ariana said. “Stop calling me that!” Takuto shouted from another room, which made everyone laugh.  “Hyosuke, why don’t you take Ariana out tonight?” His mom asked. “Really? But you two just came back, and I want to catch up with you.” Hyosuke said. “We can dedicate tomorrow family day. I can tell that you like her.” His mom said. He slightly blushed. “Mom…” Hyosuke said. “Don’t keep her waiting.” She said. “Ok… Ariana, would you like to go out with me tonight?” Hyosuke asked. “Hyosuke.” Atsumu said. “Yeah?” Hyosuke asked. “After your date, come over to LRN. By midnight.” Atsumu said. “Boss, what are you? Her dad?” Hiro asked and laughed. “I have been looking out for her for a while now.” Atsumu said rubbing Hiro’s head. “H-Hey! What’s your damage?” Hiro asked fixing his hair. “Is your answer yes or no?”  Hyosuke said. “Yes. I’ll go out with you.” Ariana said. “Great! Let’s go!” Hyosuke said and dragged her out of the house.
