Chapter 7

[The scene transitions to the jungle. Timon Scorbunny and Pumbaa stride through the foliage, dancing.]
Pumbaa:♪ A-wimoweh, a-wimoweh, a-wimoweh, a-wimoweh. ♪
Timon:♪ In the jungle, the mighty jungle... ♪
Pumbaa:♪ [in the background] A-wimoweh, a-wimoweh. ♪
Timon:♪ The lion sleeps tonight! ♪
Pumbaa:♪ [in the background] A-wimoweh, a-wimoweh, a-wimoweh, a-wimoweh. ♪
Timon:♪ In the jungle, the mighty jungle... ♪
Pumbaa:♪ [in the background] A-wimoweh, a-wimoweh, a-wimoweh, a-wimoweh, a-wimoweh. [A beetle lands in front of Pumbaa and Scorbunny and walks off into the foliage. Pumbaa, and Scorbunny stops singing and pursues it out of sight.] ♪
Timon: ♪ The lion sleeps to... [over his shoulder] I can't hear you, buddy. Back me up! [Timon poses.] A-wiii! A-Pumbaa-bum-baa-weh. ♪ [Timon notices Pumbaa and Scorbunny is Pumbaa is gone and looks around.] Pumbaa? Scorbunny?
Pumbaa and Scorbunny:[Pumbaa hums "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" while he and Scorbunny stalks the beetle. It flits away from him.] Huh? [The beetle lands on a nearby log. Pumbaa and Scorbunny drops into a hunter's crouch and attempts to sneak up on it. The beetle turns around hastily, and Pumbaa and Scorbunny hides behind a tree. The beetle turns back around and climbs over the log. Pumbaa and Scorbunny licks their chops and follows. There is a sound behind him, which causes him to glance over one shoulder.] Timon? [Behind them there is a seemingly empty field. Pumbaa and Scorbunny shrugs and climbs over the log.] *grunts* [Pumbaa and Scorbunny the beetle. A lioness and Flame Pokémon crouches in the field behind it. The beetle flies away.]
Nala:[Nala and Charizard wriggles her haunches in anticipation of a hunt.] *growls*
Pumbaa and Scorbunny: *screams*
Nala: [Nala and Charizard breaks into a run.]
Scorbunny: Run! Pumbaa! Run!
Pumbaa: [Pumbaa and Scorbunny stumbles away in terror.] *pants* [Pumbaa and Scorbunny turns and races away, with Nala and Charizard in hot pursuit.]
Nala: [Nala and Charizard chases Pumbaa and Scorbunny into the jungle.] *roars*
Timon: Pumbaa? Scorbunny?[Nala and Charizard chases Pumbaa and Scorbunny around the jungle. Timon races to Scorbunny and Pumbaa's aid.] Pumbaa! Scorbunny! [Pumbaa and Scorbunny runs near Timon and gets stuck under the root of a tree by trying to squeeze through except Scorbunny]
Timon: Pumbaa! Scorbunny! Hey, what's goin' on?
Pumbaa:[screaming,with spittle flying] They're gonna eat us! thanks
Timon: Timon climbs on top of the tree root.] Huh? [Nala and Charizard charges toward Pumbaa.] Whoa! [Timon and Scorbunny jumps down and pushes on Pumbaa's rump in an attempt to free him.] Jeez, why do I always have to save your... [Timon and Scorbunny turns and stares at Nala and Charizard in terror.] *screams*
Simba: [Simba and Pikachu jumps over the log, attacking Nala and Charizard.] *roars*
Simba and Nala:[Simba and Nala fights so Pikachu and Charizard.]*roars*
Timon: [From on top of the tree root, Timon and Scorbunny pats Pumbaa's rump reassuringly.] Don't worry, buddy, We'll here for you. Everything's gonna be okay.
Pumbaa:[Pumbaa looks anxiously over one shoulder.] Huh?
Timon: [Timon and Scorbunny watches Simba, Pikachu, Nala and Charizard fight.] Get her! Bite her head! Go for the jugular! The jugular! [Timon approaches Pumbaa and points over his shoulder at Simba and Pikachu .] See? I told you he'd come in handy.
[Pikachu use Quick Attack to tackle Charizard]
Simba and Nala:[Simba and Nala roll through the foliage.] *roars* [Nala pins Simba, who looks up in sudden recognition.]
Nala:[Nala glares down at Simba.] *growls*
Pikachu: Charizard?
Charizard: Pikachu?
Simba: Nala? [Nala stops growling and lets Simba up. Simba approaches her.] Is it really you?
Nala: Who are you?
Simba: It's me. Simba.
Nala: Simba? [Simba nods excitedly. Nala's face breaks into a grin.] Whoa!
Simba: Simba? [Simba nods excitedly. Nala's face breaks into a grin.] Whoa!
Nala:[Simba and Nala bound around one another joyously.] How did you...?
Simba: But how did you...? [A confused Timon watches with his mouth wide open.] Who...? Wow!
Nala:Where did you come from?
Simba:This is gr... It's great to see ya!
Nala:[in the background] It's great to see you!
Pikachu: Charizard It's great to see ya again!
Charizard: Yeah Guys come on quick!
[Pikachu saw his friends]
Pikachu:Bulbasaur, Infernape, Staraptor, Riolu, Oshawott,Fennekin,Chespin!
Pikachu Friend: Pikachu!
Riolu: You're okay.
Timon:[Timon jumps off the tree root and walks toward Simba and Nala.] Hey, what's goin' on here?
Simba:[to Nala] What are you doing here?
Nala:What do you mean what am I doing here? What are you doing here?
Timon:[Timon stands in-between Simba and Nala.] Hey! What's goin' on here?!
Simba: [Simba looks down at Timon, as if noticing him for the first time.] Timon, this is Nala. She's my best friend.
Timon: [Timon puts his hands on his hips.] Friend?
Pikachu: Scorbunny this isCharizard,Sceptile, Infernape, Staraptor, Riolu, Oshawott,Fennekin, and Chespin.
Scorbunny: It nice to meet you all.
Simba: Yeah. [Simba looks over one shoulder at Pumbaa.] Hey, Pumbaa, come over here!
Pumbaa: Pumbaa wriggles out from under the tree root. He looks over one shoulder at Simba.] Huh?
Simba:Nala, this is Pumbaa. [Pumbaa approaches Simba, Nala, Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charizard,Sceptile, Infernape, Staraptor, Riolu, Oshawott,Fennekin,Chespin, and Timon.] Pumbaa. Nala.
Pumbaa:Pleased to make your acquiantance.
Nala: The pleasure's all mine. Timon:
Timon: How do you do? [Timon's tone becomes more aggressive. He holds out his arms on either side.] Whoa, whoa! Timeout. [Timon makes the sports gesture for timeout.] Let me get this straight. [Timon puts a hand to his forehead in exasperation.] You both them They know you both. But she and Charizard wants to eat him and Scorbunny. And everybody's okay with this? [Timon jumps into the air.] Did I miss something?! *pants*
Simba: Simba ducks down to Timon's level.] Relax, Timon.
Nala: Wait till everyone [Simba lifts his head to meet Nala's gaze.] finds out you've been here all this time. And your mother... What will she think?
Simba: Simba looks distressed.] S-She doesn't have to know. Nobody has to know.
Nala: Well, of course they do. Everyone thinks you're dead.
Simba:They do?
Pikachu: They really think we're dead?
Nala: Yeah. Scar told us about the stampede.
Simba: [Simba looks away.] He did? [haltingly] What else did he tell you?
Nala: What else matters? You're alive. And that means...you're the king.
Timon: King? Pfft! [Timon approaches Simba and Nala.] Lady, have you got [Timon leans on one of Simba's paws.] your lions crossed. [Nala ducks down to Timon's level.]
Scorbunny: [in awe] King? Your Majesty! [Scorbunny bows to Simba.] I gravel at your feet. [Scorbunny aggressively kisses one of Simba's paws.]
Simba: [Simba pulls his paw away from Scorbunny.] Stop it.
Timon: [Timon approaches Scorbunny not "gravel." It's "grovel." And don't! [Timon whacks Scorbunny's snout.] He's not the king. [Timon glances over one shoulder at Simba.] Are ya?
Simba: No!
Nala:Simba!
Simba: No, I'm not the king! [Simba stands.] Maybe I was gonna be, [Simba strides away.] but that was a long time ago.
Timon: [Timon puts his hands on his hips.] Let me get this straight. You're the king? And you never told us?
Simba: [Simba turns around and strides toward Timon.] Look, I'm still the same guy.
Timon: [Timon pumps a fist into the air.] But with power!
Pikachu: I hate to break this up, Timon. But, I think we need to let Simba and Nala be alone for a while.
Nala:[Nala ducks down to Timon's level. She smiles patiently.] Could you guys excuse us for a few minutes?
Timon:Hey, whatever she has to say, she can say in front of us, [Timon nudges Pumbaa's snout.] right, Simba?
Simba: Mmm. Maybe you'd better go.
Timon: Timon stares at Simba in consternation. He holds up his arms in surrender.] It starts. You think you know a guy. [Timon, Pumbaa and Scorbunny Pumbaa slink away uncertainly.]
Pumbaa:[Pumbaa looks over one shoulder at Simba.] *groans*
Simba: Scorbunny, Timon and Pumbaa. You learn to love 'em. [Nala walks away with her head bowed.] What? [Simba follows her.] What is it?
Nala: It's like you're back from the dead. [Nala looks at Simba.] You don't know how much this will mean to everyone. [Nala looks away.] What it means to me.
Simba: Hey, it's okay.
Nala:[Nala nuzzles Simba.] I've really missed you.
Simba:I've missed you too. [Simba nuzzles Nala back.]
Pikachu: I've missed your guys.
Squirtle: We've missed too Pikachu.
Fennekin: Hey, I think we should leave them alone for now.
Chespin: We got two love birds here.
Bulbasaur: Might as well.
[Pikachu and others walk away and let Simba and Nala alone.
Simba and Nala:*purrs*
Timon: [From the foliage, Scorbunny, Timon and Pumbaa watch Simba and Nala nuzzle.] *snorts* I tell you,guys. . This stinks. [Timon swats a leaf out of his face. He grumpily rests his elbows on a nearby log.]
Pumbaa:[Pumbaa emerges from behind a leaf as well.] Oh, sorry.
Timon: Not you. [Timon gestures to Simba and Nala.] Them! [Simba and Nala stride off into the jungle.] Him, her, [Timon clasps his hands sarcastically.] alone.
Scorbunny: What's wrong with that?

Timon: ♪ [Timon crosses his arms.] I can see what's happening. ♪
Pumbaa: What?
Timon: ♪ And they don't have a clue! ♪
Scorbunny: Who?
Timon:♪ They'll fall in love, and here's the bottom line: Our trio's down to two. [Timon holds up two fingers.] ♪
Scorbunny and Pumbaa Oh.
Timon:♪ [with a French accent] Ze sweet caress of twilight. [Timon gestures dramatically. He climbs onto Pumbaa's cheek.] There's magic everywhere. [Timon climbs into Pumbaa's mane. He slides down Pumbaa's snout.] And with all this romantic atmosphere, [Timon leans on one elbow grumpily.] disaster's in the air! [Timon gestures after Simba and Nala. Pumbaa follows his gaze.] ♪
Sally Dworsky: ♪ [Simba and Nala climb down a ridge. A waterfall flows nearby.] Can you feel the love tonight? [Simba and Nala pause, exchanging loving glances.] The peace the evening brings. [Simba and Nala walk underneath the waterfall. They continually pause and gaze at one another.] The world for once in perfect harmony with all its living things. [Simba and Nala pause to drink from a pool.] ♪
Simba: ♪ [internal monologue] So many things to tell her, but how to make her see [Nala pauses and looks up at Simba, smiling.] the truth about my past? [Nala resumes drinking. Simba stops drinking and looks away in shame.] Impossible. She'd turn away from me. ♪
Nala: ♪ [internal monologue] He's holding back. He's hiding. [Nala stops drinking and looks up.] But what? I can't decide. [Simba grins cheekily at Nala and bounds past her.] Why won't he be the king I know he is, [Nala looks after Simba questioningly.] the king I see inside? ♪
Sally Dworsky: ♪ [Simba swings in on a vine and falls into the pool.] Can you feel the love tonight? [Nala peers out over the pool. Simba emerges from underwater, grabs Nala, and pulls her in with him.] ♪
Nala: [Nala emerges from underwater.] *gasps* [Nala swims back to shore and clambers out of the pool, looking rattled.]
Sally Dworsky: ♪ The peace the evening brings. [Simba, soaking wet, approaches Nala and grins. She smiles, then shoves him backward into the pool.] The world for once [Simba and Nala run through an open field, causing birds to erupt into the sky.] in perfect harmony [Simba and Nala jump onto their hind legs, playfighting.] with all its living things. [Simba and Nala tumble down a hill and land in grass.] Can you feel the love tonight? [Nala licks Simba's cheek. He stares at her, shocked.] You needn't look too far. [Nala stares seductively at Simba.] Stealing through [Simba smiles down at Nala.] the night's uncertainties, [Simba and Nala nuzzle.] love is where they are. ♪
Timon: ♪ [with tears in his eyes] And if he falls in love tonight... ♪
Pumbaa:*sniffles*
Timon:♪ It can be assumed... [Timon hugs Pumbaa sadly.] ♪
Pumbaa:♪ [Pumbaa pats Timon consolingly.] His carefree days with us [Pumbaa's voice breaks.] are history. ♪
Scorbunny Timon and Pumbaa: ♪ In short, our pal [Scorbunny ,Timon and Pumbaa each raise an arm.] is doomed! ♪ [Scorbunny Timon and Pumbaa stare at each other, with tears in their eyes.] *sobs*
