Leonardo did not attend the first class after speaking with Victoria. He sat in the back seat of the car.

"Nobody has the right to tell you how to live!" The girl's words rang in his head all the time. "This is your life, and you get to decide how you want to live it."

These words instilled hopelessness in him because he lived at the behest of his father in real life. The teenager felt the pain of not being able to change the situation. Leo lacked the courage to argue or contradict his father. He was terrified of David.

Leo recalled wanting to learn karate as a child after seeing the film "The Karate Kid." He was 7 years old at the time, it appears. He wanted to be as cool as this Dray in the film, so that when he appeared on the park's playground, everyone was terrified and scattered in all directions. He also wanted to kick Josh's ass, who was constantly picking on Leonardo.

Leo attempted to persuade his parents to enroll him in combat sports. His father, on the other hand, forced him to play football. Mr. Williams always yelled if his son did not succeed during these training sessions, which frustrated the boy.

Leo felt uneasy and insecure in Victoria's company and made the firm decision to avoid her.

The young man had a disturbing dream at night. He walked across the field, which was covered in mud and bog. The young man was constantly slipping and falling, rising and walking forward.

Suddenly, a swamp sucked him in. Leo initially resisted. Then he ran out of strength and gave up hope of ever being free. The young man lowered his hands and accepted the fact that he was now constricted. He began to fall the moment he was completely covered in a bog. He fell deeper and deeper into the pit, which was damp and cold. Leo was becoming frightened. He started gasping for air. The young man started to choke and awoke.

The sensations in the body were real, despite the fact that it was only a dream. He was gripped by fear and panic. His pulse and heart rate had both increased. He was lonely, anxious, depressed, and hopeless.

The next day, Victoria took Leo's spot in the parking lot again. The girl made the firm decision to speak with him and did not back down. She approached a guy in the hallway, where he was standing by his locker. The already familiar scent of vanilla alerted him to her approach.

"Hi, Leo," the girl said.

"How are you doing?" Leonardo said, looking at her coldly and distantly. He did it on purpose to scare the girl away.

From his icy gaze, Victoria felt a wave of coldness and goosebumps run through her body. She had not expected such coldness and detachment from her interlocutor after yesterday's private talk. As if it's a completely different person.

When someone knew what Leo was thinking and feeling, he was irritated. He tried to avoid such people and did not allow them to get close. He hid his emotions by wearing a mask for so long and so persistently. Victoria appeared to see right through him. This made him uncomfortable.

"Leo, tell me if I offended you in any way. If that's the case, I didn't want to. I simply stated my opinion. That's true! My words seemed to annoy you in some way.'

Leo became nervous by Victoria's words. He didn't want to answer the question and hoped that a familiar face would appear on the horizon, allowing him to leave the girl under the guise of an important conversation with a friend. There was no way out. The girl waited for an answer looking him straight in the eyes. Leo gave a nervous grin.

"No way! Certainly not! I can't even remember what we were talking about "He tried to show that he didn't care by his entire demeanor.

"It's just that you left so quickly, didn't even say goodbye...," Victoria explained.

"I remembered something important," Leonardo lied.

"That was rude of you. It did not sit right with me. I was worried that I had offended you." Victoria directly expressed her displeasure. She was aware of her worth and expressed her emotions openly.

"No, it's okay, never mind," Leo replied, baffled. He hadn't expected Victoria to be so forthright and confident.

"I'm glad we got everything sorted out," Victoria said with a smile.

Both of them were relieved. Leo unwinded. He knew she wouldn't leave, so he changed the subject of the conversation.

"How was your first day?" Leo tried to change the subject of conversation until she asked another awkward question.

"Everything is fine, I met my classmates," Victoria said with a smile, "and how was your day?"

When Victoria smiled, cute dimples formed on her cheeks, as Leo noticed. She applied this red lipstick to her lips once more! A golden strand of hair fell over her eyes. She made an attempt to blow it away. She did not, however, succeed. He wished he could pull a lock of hair behind her ears and run his finger along her dimples.

"Leo, why are you so silent?"The girl asked.

" Uh?" Leo awoke.

" I asked you how your day had gone."

" It was fine. Listen, let's go to a cafe after school and talk," Leo unexpectedly suggested. He was not going to ask Victoria out, especially since he had promised not to talk to her again. But those dimples made him crazy! The words somehow found their way out on their own. What's going on with him?

Sheela had heard their conversation. When she noticed her beloved Leo chatting with a girl in the corridor, she decided to step in and define her territory.

" Hello, darling, I've missed you," Sheela suddenly appeared, hung on his neck, kissed him on the cheek, and then cast a burning glance at Victoria.

Leo attempted to break free from her grip. Victoria felt uncomfortable under Sheela's stare. She had no idea Leo had a girlfriend, especially since he had just called her for coffee.

"Hello, my name is Victoria," the girl said as she extended her hand. She wished to be nice.

Sheela gave her a sidelong glance and ignored the handshake.

"Who is this, Leo?" Sheela inquired, her voice irritated.

"You're aware that you're not being very polite. Victoria is new around here. "You could be nicer," Leo said.

Sheela turned to face Victoria, scanned her from head to toe, and said:

"Hello, my name is Shila, I'm his girlfriend," she said.

Leo's eyes widened, but he couldn't help but wonder how Victoria would react to this phrase. Perhaps he intended to make her jealous. The young man was taken aback by the look of surprise in her eyes. Leo remained silent.

Victoria realized she was the third wheel:

"OK, guys, I'll see you later," she said shyly as she walked away.

"It turned out stupid," Leo thought, "and now we're not going to drink coffee. Or perhaps it's for the best."

Leo and Sheela stood there watching her walk away.

" Why are you telling everyone that you are my girlfriend?" Leonardo inquired.

"Well, as far as I understand, you don't mind," Sheela flirted.

"I don't have a girlfriend. And it's not going to happen anytime soon. So, instead of wasting your time, go arrange your personal life with someone else." Leo turned around and walked away.

"We'll have to see about that," Sheela grumbled.

Sam was observing the entire scene. He noticed how nicely Leo and Victoria were conversing. Who is this newcomer? Williams, he thought, liked her. Sam made the decision that he would definitely get to know her. She was cute. But it was possibly pissing off Leo that drove Sam the most.
