It was audition day. Victoria was not worried at all. She was filled with emptiness, pain, and loneliness. She was angry with Leo. For the first time in her life, she hated him.
This pain and emptiness were stronger than the anxiety and fear of the jury. She realized that what she had been striving for so many years was suddenly not as important as the loss of a loved one. She recalled their happy moments together. So many memories that made her pain even stronger. Victoria would live with this pain for the rest of her life.
It was finally her turn. She walked calmly into the hall. Five people were seated in front of her. They examined every muscle in her body as if she was under a microscope. Victoria didn't care.
The music began to play. The girl started to dance. Leo's face and gaze were directly in front of her eyes. She appeared calm on the outside, but she has torn apart on the inside. She was tired of keeping everything to herself. She danced as she'd never danced before. With her movements, she tried to release the pain that was tearing her from the inside. Her dance was powerful and sensual, and it left no one indifferent. It was filled with passion, life, and genuine emotions.
She flew around the room, creating complex elements that were perfectly timed to the music. Her movements were impulsive. She finally understood what the choreographer was talking about. Victoria remembered hearing that it was good for a dancer to be angry. The girl had lost her fear of everything. She didn't care. She was only filled with rage and pain.
When the music stopped, she collapsed exhausted and devastated on the floor. The jury applauded and congratulated the young lady. They've never seen such energy in dancing.
Victoria didn't care. She looked at them, thanked them, collected her belongings, and took a confident step towards the exit. Her heart was broken by the betrayal of a loved one, his weakness, and his cowardice. Will she ever be able to accept, forgive him, and understand what he did? She triumphantly exited the open door. After all, she is Victoria. Her father gave her this name, not in vain. A new life opened up before her, but without him.
Victoria walked down the street. It was drizzling with fine, disgusting rain. The sky was covered in gray clouds. The wind blew through the wet clothes, chilling the body. The trees swayed from side to side, sadly. There wasn't a single person on the street.
Victoria did not seem to notice what was happening around her. She didn't care. The weather matched what was going on in her soul. She walked forward. She didn't care where to go. Just kept going and didn't stop. Her thoughts were far away.
He said he loved her! Leo swore that he belonged only to her, that he would always be there, that he would never leave. Why did he do this? Their conversation still didn't make sense to her. A person cannot change overnight. She trusted him, opened up, and gave everything she had. Why would Leo do such a thing? Mom was correct; it is impossible to save someone unless he wants to be saved.
Victoria decided to hide in New York, to start a new life, and to forget about him. She deleted all of her social media accounts. She changed her phone number. No one would ever be able to find her and hurt her again. She would start a new life without him.
