Chapter 4

Artemis' P.O.V

 Once the meeting was finally over it was time for the ceremony, so all of the leaders of the pack and Zayden made our way down to the stage. It was already almost packed, and as soon as we entered the crowd went silent. We all took our respective seats on stage, again Zayden taking the seat right next to me. I could feel the jealous stares of the girls in the pack, wishing they were in my seat.

"Welcome everyone, as you all know our King has been searching for his mate, and queen for many years, he has graced us with our presence, I know everyone will be on their best behavior." The alpha stepped down and Zayden stood up, you could hear the hushed whispers, and feel the desire throughout the crowd.

"Good morning everyone, I have been pleased to announce that this seems to be a fine pack, and I am pleased to announce thst I have found my future queen, and she will be returning with me to the palace by the end of the week. I will be touring this pack until the end of the week, and look forward to speaking with all of you." I felt my temper rise a bit, but I couldn't let it show, this jerk still can't get it through his thick, strong, gorgeous, god-like, head. Oh snap out of it Artemis, you will not be controlled by his charm. 'But you know you want to,' "Just shut it Erophina," her wolfy laugh was the last thing I heard before she disconnected herself.

Once he stepped down from the microphone, I got up because I was the last speaker and I really needed to start training to distract myself. "All teenager are to report to the training feild in ten minutes, you know what happenes if you're late, dismissed." I heard a couple of the teens start complaining as everyone began to dispurse. "Is that complaining I hear, I could always lower the time." I heard a unanimous NO and the teens began to run, as the adults laughed. I made my way down the stage to meet Zayden, considering I was to show him the training session. Of course as soon as he had left the stage he was flocked by women. It made me jealous but, also humored me because it showed reminded me what desperate and greedy people do.

When he was finally able to dismiss the power hungry ladies he made his way over to me, as I only raised an eyebrow, and then turned around without a word heading to the training grounds. We walked in silence until we reached the grounds. His beta and others had gone back to the palace when they found out I was his mate, to prepare our arrival.

 "I see that everyone is here on time good I might consider making training a bit relaxing, however since his majesty has graced us with his precence, we are going to show his the sparing skill, and strength from yesterdays practice." Some cheered and others groaned but they all paired off from their partners from yesterday and waited my command to begin. At the sound of the whisstle they began, and Zayden and I walked around to view all of the teens skills.

Zayden's P.O.V.

we walked around for having started training yesterday these kids were well skilled, but I couldn.t really focus on anything but my beautiful mate, the way her long pure white hair swung in a ponytail, the way she adjusted the teens making them stronger, and showing off her own strength, the respect and admiration in the teens eyes. She was truly gorgeous and she was mine I would just have to convince her to fully accept me, I would heal her unknown past and let her experience the love, and mate connection I have with her wether she wanted me or not.

"That's a good stance Mia, however bring up your arms more and adjust the weight to your back foot for your defense and quick recovery of attack." The girl she had been helping beamed at Artemis, and won her match later on with her improvement. We stopped by a set of boys about sixteen, "Artemis why don't I ever see you fighting, I mean everyone says your the strongest wolf in the pack but I haven't seen any proof of it." I saw a glint of michief in her eyes, this should be entertaining. "Is that a challenge Henry?" The way she raised her eyebrow and adjusted her tance drove me crazy, she was definitely fiesty. "Yeah, I think I can take you," he smirked if whaat this kid said was true then I would really get to see how fierce my warrior mate was.

We all stood in a circlebig enough for the fight, although my wolf was howling to put the brat in his place after a few other comments he made I assured my mate was strong enough to take on the pip sqeek, she was the future queen after all. I also ignored the lust filled stares sent my way by the females that had gathered around, at least they weren't as bad as some of the other packs I had visited where they tried to sneak into my room, or literally threw themselves at me. The match began, my mate stood calmly on her side of the circle watch Henry with sharp eyes. He made the first move, and no sooner had the match began did it end. In the blink of and eye Artemis had twist Henry around and pinched his nervous system leaving him out cold.

The crowd of teens cheeredand Artemis still remained stoic, and she locked eyes with me. My wolf didn't like the look in her eyes, she was was in fight mode, and was challenging me. Mate or not my wolf was the stongest of all wolves, and he didn't like a challenge. of course he would never hurt his mate but he wasn't going to back down. As I stepped into the cirlce the crowd went silent, the tension was thick. Artemis and I never broke eyes contact, at one point the alpha showed up and saw the situation, fully understanding everything once he saw us. He blew the whistle and the match began, Artemis was quick and good, she was even better than my beta, but I was still better. She swung for my face, and then he other when she thought I would dodge it. The fight lasted for about five minutes, before I decided to end it. After dodging her last kick I pinned her against my chest. She couldn't move in my iron hold and stred at me with her beautiful orbs. I lowered my head and kissed her, she didn't respond at first but then I slowly deepened the passionate kiss. When we broke apart we locked eyes again, "so I can take that as a prize for beating the best fighter in the pack." She scowled and blushed as she tried to wriggle out of my arms. "You can take that as my wolf took control, and you better let me go or you will be staying in the pond behind my house instead of anywhere in my house if you don't let me go." I smirked and riased an eyebrow "I now it was you, and no thanks besides I can be quite persuasive." 

However my phone rang interupting our nice moment, I was going to kill whoever interupted my fun. "king Zayden, speak." My beta James' voice came out in a hurried tone, "Zayden you are going to have to return home immediately, your mother has collapsed, and has summoned the prescence of you and your mate." My face hardened, and I completely let go of Artemis, she saw the look on my faace and also became extremely serious, I had to return home know and Artemis had to come with me wether she wanted to or not.
