Artemis' P.O.V

After the king muttered something under his breath the door to the massive room opened, and in walked a short woman with a lab coat and glasses that framed her face which was strange because I could smell her wolf and all wolfs have perfect vision. They must be for decoration I finally thought. She walked into the room after excusing herself and following her was a taller woman. I assumed by her appearance that it was the king's mother. She looked concerned as she approached me, she was going to say something but stopped herself. I was becoming very suspicious and uneasy, I felt something was wrong as soon as I woke up, Like I had things missing that should be there. It felt as if my mind had a cloud of fog covering a spot in my heart and head. Pull yourself together, you are a warrior, calm yourself, you can get out of this situation. The doctor stepped next to the bed and smiled down at me. "Hello Artemis, my name is doctor Alice, just call me Alice though, I'm going to do a series of tests to bring your memory back, however I will need your complete cooperation."

I stared into her eyes, and assessed her movements and action, I nodded when nothing suspicious caught my eye, and I could sense she was trust worthy. Her smile widened, "great, first I will need you to undress and so I can see if there are any physical changes or markings." I nodded my head but didn't undress, instead I stared at the king with a raised eyebrow. His mother seemed to have noticed the death glare I was sending and chuckled before she asked to speak to his highness in the hall. He begrudgingly went after a bit of arguing mostly between myself and him.

After they left Alice examined me and found nothing  out of the ordinary other than an immense amount of power coming off of me. She began to ask a series of questions when I finished dressing myself. I told her about the fog like feeling I was experiencing and the strange way I was reacting to the king. When she was finished writing down all the information she needed she opened the door and left as the king and his mother entered the room. "When can I return home your highness?" They both froze at my words and I saw the king's face darken slightly. "This is your home, and I've told you before, but you probably don't remember but call me Zayden, you have no need for formalities." I felt a slight twinge of anger and confusion inside me but I wouldn't let it show. "This is not my home, I cannot sense any of my pack members nor does this look like my house." His face showed anger that was replaced by sorrow before nothing by my stoic reply. He took a step forward before his deep voice resonated throughout the room. "This is your home you are no longer a member of your pack, your things are on there way here as we speak, you are my mate, and I will make you realize and accept me once again, now if you'll excuse me amica mea I have someone I must hunt down so you can regain your memories."

His voice was gentle by the time he finished his speech, he looked me in the eyes as if searching for something before he turned around and walked out of the room. Silence followed, as I stared at the door, hurt, anger, resentment, and... was it pity, anguish, something I couldn't quite described filled me as I stared at the closed door. After another minute of silence I heard someone clear their throat and remembered the dowager queen was still in the room. "Well, after all of this drama, and excitement I'm quit hungry how about you and I go to the dining hall and reintroduce, talk, and hopefully get you felling better." I stared at her as I slowly nodded my head and followed her down the hall, she had a warm presence like my mother had, or at least what I remember, and I felt the urge that I knew her, yet I couldn't place her in any of the memories that apparently were not taken, or were being hidden in my mind.
