I feel nothing but hatred in my heart. I know I shouldn't think like that, but that was the one of the only loyal people I had by my side. He was more of a brother than anything. It's like he was the only one that understood me.  A tear slide down my face, the salty tear touhed my lips leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. I could taste my pain in my tears.

As I walked towards my car, I hear footsteps.

KAYLA'S POV-

Fuck this shit. Im going with him. If my brother's dead, I might as well die too. I crept behind Travis waiting for him to noticed I was following. It wasn't until we got to the car door he called me out. I stepped from behind a tree. " What are you doing ? ",he asked concerned. "Look I ain't got much. You saw my mother barely cared when you told my brother was dead. I wanna go with you." He wasn't very exciting about that. " What I do is very dangerous and even though I get paid, I done seen people die, get shot in the head, have a bounty on their heads, or get betrayed by someone they least expected. This life aint safe or smart."
" So why you do it ?!" I asked irritated.

" I didnt ask to be the nephew of a drug dealer. I didn't ask for my mother to be a crackhead and die from it. I didn't ask my dad to leave when I was a baby. I didn't ask for none of these shit. I didn't chose this life. It chose me......" Damn I didn't know all that had happened, I just thought he was one of them niggas who sold drugs because he thought it was cool. I was speechless. " You really wanna do this. You sure this the life you wanna live littke girl ?", he said. Naw I cant leave Lisa like this. " Naw, I gotta think about Lisa, she been my friend for the longest, I can't leave her like that jusy because im in my feelings.", I realized. He got in the car and drove off.

LISA'S POV-

It's five o'clock in the morning, and I hear someone knocking on my window. It's Kayla. "What is it kay? ", I asked still sleep. " He's dead, someone shot him.", she explained sadly. She snuck in through the window then told me how Travis showed up at their crib telling her mom. She told me how their mom reacted. I dont even think it's the fact her brother's dead, its how her mother reacted when she found out that hurt Kayla. I hugged her, tightly. " Im so sorry girl, I really am. He was a brother to me too." We sat there crying, holding eachother

The next morning we agreed we was gone find out who did this, with or without Travis's help. We found him in the same spot we first saw him. " What you doing ?", I asked gently. " What yall doing ? Don't yall got some park to go to or something." He said while looking around for customers. " Nigga we in high school, sophomores actually.", Kayla said.
" High schoolers goto the park.", he vouched. Sure. " Look he was our friend too, we wanna find out who did it just as bad as you do." I said.

" How would you find them when I already know what they look like, I just don't know their location." He added. " Teach us how to...  do what you do. They'll be expecting you on the block, but if it's someone new coming up on the streets they might try to rob them too. " Wait what? " Before yall meet up I heard him on the phone with you when whoever robbed you was tryna kill you." How does this little girl know this stuff. " Fuck, you know too, but that make sense. Aight... matter fact here you go. Consider this your auditions. Sell that crackhead this...", he said whike handing Kayla a little bag with what look like crack in it.  She walked across the street and sold it. She almost did it too perfect like she's done kt before. " Your turn Lisa.", Travis said. I walked towards them, they gave me a look. Once I reached for the bag to sell to them, they pulled out a gun and pointed at my head. Damn im bout to be dead on the first day.
