Piper's POV

I'm at my first ever college party! I graduated high school a year early, due to how much credit I got in summer school. So I'm only 17.

Jake, the school flirt who my roommates warned me to stay away from,  comes up to me.

"Hey babe." He says touching my hand.

I pull his hand off me.

"Uh..." I have no idea what to say.

"So, you have a boyfriend?" He asks.

"Yes." I don't actually have a boyfriend, but I don't know what else to say to get him to leave.

"I don't see him? What's his name?"

I can't believe what I'm about to say, but it's the only thing I can think of.

"His name is Jasper. We have a long distance relationship."

"I don't believe you. Why don't you call him?"

"Fine I will."

I just have to think of a way to get Jasper to act like my boyfriend. Then I  a conversation he had right before I was dropped off at the airport.

Jasper and I  were joking around and he said, "Now remember Piper, if any college guy is making you uncomfortable, just call me up, and I will scare him off."

"How would you do that?" I asked him. "By pretending to be my boyfriend?" I teased.

"Sure. Just call me 'Jazzy' and I'll get the hint."

He was joking when he said all that, but hopefully he would remember and just play along.

I tapped the call button, and held the phone to my ear.

"Put it on speaker, babydoll," Jake tells me.

I'm scared so I do.

Jasper picks up.

"Hey Piper! What's all that background noise?" Jasper asks.

"Well, Jazzy," I say, hoping he gets the hint. "I'm at a party, and this guy Jake keeps flirting with me even though I told him I have a boyfriend. You are on speakerphone, by the way."
