*Zelda's POV

"Zelda! Come on it's time to get out of bed."

I groaned and tossed to the side on my straw matress. It is really too early for this, 5 more minutes please? I thought before I felt a phantom's hand touch my shoulder and started to shake me awake.

"Seriously sis? Do I have to take over your body again to get you moving? You promised me we would leave for Kakariko Village today."
Damn, he's got a solid point, I did promise him we would leave today. Oh well so much for sleeping in.

Eventually I got out bed and gathered everything that was prepared for this very journey, Kakariko Village is pretty far from Castle Town so it could take us at least three days to get there since we're traveling on foot.

"Did you make sure we packed enough food for the trip?" I asked as I yawned audibly.

"Yes I did. Now come on, out the door we go!" I know Sheik isn't in physical form right now, but if there was anything he could touch and interact with then it was me. He was basically trying to shove me out the door right now.

"Why are you in such a rush to get there? You do realize we have all the time in the world to get to the village, right?" despite my protests he shots me down briskly.

"All the more reason to not waste another second." And as on que he gives me a condescending look.

"What now?"

"You gonna bring the extra pouch or not?" All I could give him was a confused stare. What was the extra pouch for again? He let out a sigh knowing I didn't know what he meant.

"The extra pouch you were gonna use for collecting Guardian parts, you were ecstatic of that part of the trip more than anything else." At this I nearly yelped, quickly I ran back up the stairs to my room to get it. I can't believe I nearly forgot it! As soon as I came down my ears were met with chatter coming from the living room before I came back to Sheik waiting at the doorway for me.

"What's with the sudden request?" The voice of the question is obviously Malon and she seems to be talking to Father. Request? Was there a delivery order?

"I don't know, but the Prince just decided that he wanted a horse, so he ordered for the best one from our ranch." As Father replied I crept around the corner, they don't seem to notice I was listening in.

"Then today is the day we're giving away Epona." Malon exclaimed sounded a bit sadden, Epona was the best and sweetest steed we ever raised. It won't be the same without him in our stables.

"We should feel honored, the Prince of Hyrule himself requested for only the best. It is only right for us to deliver as such." Father was obviously very ecstatic about this. He always took pride in the products we deliver and the horses we raised, it made him happy knowing people would make requests for our goods and healthy steeds. For the royal family to come out and make at request for us, Father must be over the moon right now.

"I'll go and prepare the horse then." Malon then left to fetch Epona, albeit sounding a little sad. I find it understandable seeing as Epona is Malon's favorite, surely she'll miss him more than I would.

I was just about to leave the room and back to the door when Father caught me, knowing full well I might have listened to the whole conversation. I knew he was going to turn to me for an immediate delivery.
"Ah Zelda, perfect timing. Now hear me out, I understand you were planning to leave for Kakariko Village today, but could you do one last delivery before you go?" I can already feeling the nagging I'll get from Sheik if I say yes, but for some reason the request itself felt compelling. I don't know why but I really had the sudden urge to deliver this horse straight the Castle.

"ZELDA!" I visibly jumped as my brother hollered from the doorway, I hadn't even said yes to the request yet. "What the Heck? I thought we agreed on no distractions!"

Sweat dropping as a response I murmur an apology to a now livid brother. "It's just a quick delivery, it won't take long."

Duh! I knew he was gonna over hear this too. He groaned loudly even though no one else in the house would hear it, except me of course. He knew I probably wouldn't turndown such an important request.

"I'll take care of it father, no need to worry." Father immediately thanked me and wished me and my brother good fortune on our trip.

If it's not too confusing yet Father and Malon are already aware of Sheik's existence. It took a lot of convincing but after we both figured out how to switch between our consciences of who's in control of my body it got apparently easy. Sheik when taking over may appear very feminine at first but his true masculine nature shows through effortlessly. This is the only way Sheik can physically intract with the world, and I'm more than happy to aid him this way even if it is a bit strange to work with.
Sheik had already established a working role into the family and Father does treat him like a son, but the fact that someone else is living in the body of your own daughter was strange in itself. So when Sheik asked Father if we could go to Kakariko Village he immediately said yes. The both of us might as well be in a curious situation so much so that perhaps members of the Sheikah tribe might have the answer for, there has to be a reason why his soul is housed in my body. He doesn't have a body of his own, and so to find out his true origin we collectively decided to start by finding a sustainable vessel for him first.

It bothers him and I equally that I agreed to a last minute delivery run right as we were about to leave the ranch but Malon already left to get Epona from the stables, besides I'm the fastest delivery girl on this ranch. I could easily get this job done before Sheik gets a chance to throw a complaint. In a sense I am kind of stalling but the path to the castle itself is straight through Castle Town, so it would probably be an in-and-out sort of deal...

Right?

"Zelda,"

"Hm?"

"Why are we suddenly going to the Castle?" a good question, to which I don't seem to have the answer for.

"I don't know, but I feel like I won't know unless I go there and find out."

"...Sigh, it's gonna be a while before we really hit the road isn't it?" Sheik exasperated this more to himself but at a close proximity I still heard it. But like I said earlier we have all the time in the world, we're in a hurry but not in rush. Surely this will be done quickly...

*Meanwhile in Hyrule Castle

"The winds diverge, the seas quicken, the twilight flickers, and the dead call as time starts to sing it's lost melody... Something doesn't bode well in the air, like a sense of pure malice. Dear Goddess, what are you trying tell me?"
