Gone away

Luca's POV:
I cant believe it! It's been a whole year since I've seen Alberto! There hadn't been a day for sure I hadn't thought about him! I have so man questions for him like
"What did you do in the weekends?"
"Did you finally learn to cook?!"
"How's drawing lessons going?"
(I'm my opinion Alberto would totally take art lessons 😅)
And so many more!

Alberto hadn't sent me any letters for the past week so I assumed he was just busy on working maybe a welcome back surprise for me! I miss him so much, I hope he missed me too.

Narrator
Luca and Giulia had finally arrived back in Portorosso to it be raining which had been super odd because Giulia said that Massimo said that it would be great weather for when they returned in a letter he wrote for her. When the train came to a complete stop Luca shot out of his seat had started jumping up and down excitedly. Giulia laughed and walked to the bag compartment and grabbed their bags and walked to the train exit. Luca began looking around for his best friend but couldn't see him in sight, Luca felt a little unsettled but assumed he would be around somewhere.

"LUCA!"

Luca looked up hoping to see Alberto but saw it was just his family.

"Heh Ciao mom!"

"Oh Lucaaa! I missed you so much! How was school? Did anyone hurt you? How's your teacher?!"

"MOM! Everything is fine!"

"Oh perfect...that's good!"

"Are you ok mom? You sound sad"

"I'm ok it's just-"

"Hey have you seen Alberto!? I really wan-"

"Luca! I wanna talk to you guys.."

"Wait before you do Ms.Paguro have you seen my dad?"

"He's..at home Giulia.."

"Oh why? Is he ok?"

"Kids...Alberto he-"

"H-he what mom?.."

"He went missing last week...probably late Monday night last week..Massimo has been looking around forever and is resting at home and he wanted me and Luca's father to be the one to tell you all what happened.."

"W-what m-mom! WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME SOONER I WOULD HAVE CAME H-HOME SOONER!"

Luca began breaking down in Giulia's arms barely sustaining himself from crying. He was shaking and stuttering over words. His best friend...was lost...probably scared and wanted help. But once Luca heard what was happening he started thinking...

maybe he was dead....

"M-mom did you guys check the t-tower?"

"The what!?"

"T-the...OH MY GOD THE TOWER!"

Luca began sprinting as fast as he could to the beach. Because it was raining his green and turquoise scales scattered across his entire body. His long tail fell down his back as he was super close to the beach. He stopped and removed his fancy like brown shoes and dove in the water. All he remembered was this was the fastest he had ever swam in his entire life. But one thing is he didn't realize how fast he was going and he almost ran face first into the Stonewall of the island. He had gotten to the island and saw it's dark and gloominess tower in front of him. He had run through the wet grass and mud and had sharp turned and slid almost falling over as he jumped on and grabbed somewhat handmade ladder he remembered from last summer. He began to rapidly climb up the ladder until he reached the top of the tower. He began looking around and saw his friend wasn't insight, so next he walked upstairs and saw he wasn't there either. At this point Luca had a full on had a mental breakdown and head released several tears from his eyes. He didn't know where else he could possibly be so he decided....to give up. Are you climb down the tower and walk through the mud again went into the water making his way back to Portorosso. Just as he was heading back he decided to glance in the cave they brought back so many memories when he realized there was pieces of trash on the outer area of the cave. This triggered Luca into wanting to explore the cave more thinking maybe there was traces of his friends behind inside. He began looking around when he heard scattering and clanging noises in a corner of the cave. That's when he got closer to figure that was standing here a bigger pile of objects that had a long tail and a worn out T-shirt and black shorts.

"A-Alberto?.."

"huh? LUCA?!"

"OH MY GOD ITS YOU! I thought you were gone forever!"

" I thought you were gone forever!"

"What do you mean?"

" I thought...you weren't coming home-"

" whoever said that?! I was always planning on coming home to see you! It had always been what I wanted to do since the first week I started school!"

"R-really?!"

"Yeah! Your my best friend I never would leave you!"

*they huh each other*

" Will you come home now silly?"

"Of course Luca Paguro..."

OK I'm sorry I just had an idea of a one shot of someone running away so this was kind of rushed so I can get this book started, I don't have a ton of ideas so I'm hoping I can get this book pretty far with more ideas from others hopefully if anyone's interested so yeah.
