The following morning, Minjae got up early and prepared for practise. She realised the boys were still asleep. Minjae started first because she didn't want to disturb them.
She watched the video of Heeseung and memorized the basic skills. Before the boys awoke, she practised by herself for thirty minutes. When Minjae noticed Sunoo at the door, she said, "Good morning."
"You're early, Sunghoon who just showed up behind Sunoo said. "I told you I couldn't waste any time," she stated. They simply grinned and nodded in agreement. Heeseung had the mental notion, "I adore her spirit."
"You seem to be an expert at the basic methods. I believe you can proceed to the next step," said Jongseong. "Really?" She starts to smile a little. After that, Heeseung instructed her while the rest left to practise.
"We are even now. Next time, none of us will train alone," Jaeyun grins. They concurred and kept on practising. They also put in several hours of practise that day. Minjae was pondering the answers at the same time.
She was so caught up in her own thoughts that she lost track of the training. Heeseung was instructing her on how to fight back if he attacked her. She was meant to block Heeseung's blow with a defence.
Heeseung later punched her in the face. He was surprised that she did not protect herself as he had instructed her to. When she was smacked, she was startled back into reality. She groaned in agony.
"Oh my God, are you all right?!" The sight of her bloodied lips frightened Heeseung. "I'm truly sorry!" He moved toward her. The youngsters came to a standstill to take in the scene. He quickly cupped her cheeks to check her lips.
While Minjae stared directly into his eyes, he was preoccupied with her lips. She was surprised at his action. He used his thumbs to delicately clean the blood. His gaze then landed on hers. For a brief moment, their eyes were fixed on one another.
Their stomachs both had an odd sensation. "Love is in the air!" Layla shouted. She surprised Heeseung, who then swiftly released his grip on Minjae's face.
When he turned to gaze at his brothers, they instantly seemed to be unconcerned. Heeseung gazed nervously at Minjae while rubbing the back of his neck.
"I'm sorry," he apologised. "No, I apologise. I drift off," she gave an uneasy smile. "That's probably it for now. Let's rest. Minjae has painful-looking lips. I can feel the pain," Jaeyun said smiling.
"Thankfully, we have the healing potion," Sunoo responded. They then entered to rest. She was given the potion by Jungwon after he took it out of a drawer. She thanked him with a smile.
She innocently said, "Will it still work if I pour this on a cloth?" The boys nodded and laughed at her. "Yeah. You wouldn't want any liquid to spill on you, would you?" said Jongseong. She laughed after giving a nod.
After that, all of the boys but Heeseung left her in the kitchen. She was gently pouring the healing potion onto a cloth as he stood there and watched. Minjae gazed at him after noticing him.
Yes?" she questioned. Heeseung shook his head and moved in her direction. Giving her a wooden chair, he said, "Sit." Heeseung imitated her actions after she complied. He grabbed the cloth from her and said, "Let me do it for you."
"No, it's fine, I'll do it," she said and retracted it. "No. Please, let me. I punched you," Once more, he snatched the cloth. "An accident occurred. It's okay, I should concentrate," She attempted to retrieve the cloth. Heeseung clung to it firmly.
She sought to grab the cloth back and repeated, "Let me do it myself." He continued to hold it tightly rather than letting her take it. Heeseung was already giving her a poker face as Minjae gazed at him.
Minjae sighed and replied, "Fine." Heeseung gave her a beautiful smile right away. The abrupt shift in his expression left Minjae feeling rather pleased. She was waiting for him while sitting there like a young child.
Heeseung approached her to tend to her wound. He tenderly cleaned her lips with the cloth. To prevent any awkwardness, she turned her gaze elsewhere. He chuckled a little when he saw what she was doing.
He placed the cloth on the table and remarked, "Done." Minjae's lips stopped hurting for a brief period of time. She felt her lips, and they felt normal. She smiled and replied, "Thank you.
Out of curiosity, he inquired, "What did you think about before that you lose focus?" Before speaking, Minjae remained silent for a brief period of time. She said, "About what the witch said."
"I'm trying to figure out the answer. What is Onyx's weakness? The witch claimed I already knew the answer, but I don't believe I did," She spoke. She questioned with a scowl, "And what does she mean by 'do something before the night of the full moon'?"
"Also, isn't it already past? One full moon occurs every 27 days, but Onyx already possessed black power two years ago," she added. "This place is different. One full moon occurs every three years," he responded.
Heeseung was also illiterate in the matter. "It's alright. We can discuss it together. Don't attempt to resolve anything on your own, please. I am here, and we are here," He smiled comfortingly at her.
Minjae was simultaneously relieved and overwhelmed by the realisation that she is not alone. She gave him a nod while grinning. When they met eyes, her heart was beating so quickly.
After hearing Sunoo and Riki fighting as Sunghoon was attempting to calm them down in the living room, they broke their eye contact. He sighed, "Here we go once more."
"Don't worry about them. Sunoo and Riki frequently argue, yet their arguments never last more than a few hours. They will then pretend as though nothing occurred "He grinned awkwardly.
She answered, "I see," and laughed a little. The two of them then left the kitchen together. "Minjae, may I use your phone?" Sunoo enquired. She immediately handed it to him.
"How do you unlock it?" Sunghoon enquired. He grinned, flashing his eye smile, "I recalled the password." Minjae simply laughed at him. Sunoo then searched for the camera icon.
He gazed at the camera and asked himself, "Why am I so handsome?" His remarks were mocked by Sunghoon and Riki. "What is that?" Sunoo pressed the button for the flip camera. "Woah," they exclaimed, transfixed.
"Wuu hyung, I can see you," he turned the phone to Sunghoon. "But, I can't see my reflection on the back of this smartphone," he complained. "He used the back camera," Minjae explained.
"The smartphone is awesome!" said Riki. They snapped numerous photos using the phone's front and back cameras since they were so enthusiastic about it. The others soon joined them.
They were even taught how to take "moving pictures" by Minjae. Even the dogs joined them; they appeared to be a group of children about the age of five. Minjae chuckled and sat on the floor with her back against the wall.
They were having so much fun that she couldn't help but smile.
