I'm... here.
I'm finally here with my love.
Reunited.
"Fritz?" I asked.
I saw a red-headed boy in the distance.
He had long, white-feathered wings flowing behind him.
He turned and looked at me.
"J-Jere?" he screamed.
He ran over to me, embracing me in a hug.
I hugged him back.
We just stood there, until a voice broke the silence.
"Jeremy..."
I turned around.
There stood my mother.
My eyes widened.
"M-Mom?!" I exclaimed.
She stood there, holding someone in her arms.
Lucy.
As I let go of Fritz and walked near her, I then saw someone out of the corner of my eye.
Mike.
I then felt my eyes get hot.
I forgot about everybody and ran right over to Mike, roughly pressing my lips against his.
When I pulled away, I looked into his crystal blue eyes.
"Thank you." he said.
"F-For what?"
"For being my friend."
"And I know our life didn't last long.
And I always had a thing for you..."
Mike said, smirking.
My cheeks turned red.
I looked back over to Fritz, who was smiling at me.
"I-I'm sorry, Fritz I-I-"
"No, Jeremy. I knew you'd find someone else. And hey..."
Fritz started.
"He's the one."
I felt my cheeks turn bright red.
I looked up to Mike and smiled.
I looked over to my mother and Lucy.
This was it.
I was with all the people I loved, no longer suffering.
I... was free.
We all were.
Mike picked me up, and I wrapped my arms around his neck, pecking his cheek.
And I always asked myself...
"Who do I have now?"
Well...
I have him.
