MALLORY'S POV
When Drew and I arrived back at his apartment, we sat down and ate our food together in the kitchen before we got comfortable for our movie night. As we both nearly devoured our food, I couldn't believe how good it was. Cook Out had to be one of the best fast food places I've ever had, I could tell I was going to be frequenting it when we were in Charleston.
Once Drew and I finished our dinner, we cleaned up and as we headed into his bedroom, I checked my phone. I never liked being on my phone around Drew because when I was with him, there was no reason to be on it. Plus, I wanted to enjoy every second I had with him. Being with Drew felt like such an incredible dream, I was terrified of waking up one day and all of this being gone.
As Drew and I got into his bed, I continued to look down at my phone. I went onto Instagram and noticed I once again had all of these notifications, mainly follow requests, since my account was still private. I noticed that I was tagged in a picture, so I clicked on it and it was the girls who came up to us at Cook Out.
"Well, that didn't take long." I lightly laughed. Drew asked me what I was talking about and I showed him my phone. He looked at the picture before cracking a smile.
"The caption says you're my 'friend' in quotes." Drew said and I looked back at the post, now reading the caption.
"Met @drewstarkey at Cook Out, how's your Friday night going? Thanks to his 'friend' for taking the pics @malhud98." I read aloud. "Well, that could mean a couple things. That could insinuate that we are dating, or that could also mean that we're like fake friends or something. I'm sure no one really cares." I told Drew and he shrugged.
"It could go both ways." Drew agreed. "Are you still getting a bunch of follow requests?" He now asked me.
"Yeah," I nodded as I looked back down at my phone. "I have a little over 10,000 requests now."
"Damn." Drew lightly chuckled as he now turned on the tv.
"Considering you have over 3 million followers, I'm surprised only 10,000 of them wanna know who the Mallory Hudson is." I joked, pretending to flip my hair with my hand though my hair was up in a bun.
"Well, that's for me to know and for them to find out." Drew smiled at me before he leaned down and kissed my forehead. "What movie did you have in mind?" He asked me as he went through the various streaming networks on the tv.
I put my phone on the nightstand next to the bed before I looked up at Drew. He looked down at me, a soft smile on his lips.
"I'm feeling a sappy romance movie." I smiled.
"Oh yeah?" He cocked an eyebrow. "Like what?"
"I'm a sucker for The Notebook." I grinned and I saw the smile on Drew's lips widen.
"How did I know that's what you were gonna say?" He chuckled as he handed me the remote to the tv.
"Because it's a movie I feel like we need to watch together at least once in our relationship." I lightly laughed as I went to Netflix and looked up the movie.
Drew got up from the bed and turned off the lights. I noticed he slipped out of his sweatpants and was left in his boxers. That was a sight I loved to see. Drew got back into bed next to me, sitting up as his back was against the headboard. I snuggled up next to him as he wrapped his arm around me, pulling me closer to him. Even something as small as cuddling up next to Drew like this made me feel an insane amount of butterflies. This was a feeling I wasn't going to get used to.
